Rosemary L. Moynihan (born February 15, 1943) is an American politician.
Moynihan lived in East Hartford, Connecticut. She was a member of the advisory council of the Connecticut State University Center for Educational Excellence until December 1989, when she was appointed to the university's board of regents. She resigned from the board of regents on December 4, 1990, upon her election to the Connecticut House of Representatives as a Democrat. [1] She was elected to the state house from the 10th district, and served through 1993. [2] Moynihan was succeeded in office by Melody Currey.
Her husband was Timothy Moynihan who also served in the Connecticut General Assembly. [3]

Ella Rosa Giovianna Oliva Grasso was an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who served as the 83rd Governor of Connecticut from January 8, 1975, to December 31, 1980, after rejecting past offers of candidacies for Senate and Governor. She resigned as governor due to her battle with ovarian cancer.

Gail Bates was a member of the Maryland Senate from 2015 to 2019 and a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 2002 to 2015. She was selected to replace Robert Kittleman in the Maryland House of Delegates in February 2002 when Kittleman was selected to replace Chris McCabe in the Maryland State Senate. In a close election in 2018, Bates was defeated by non-profit executive Katie Fry Hester by 1.7 percentage points. Bates was nominated to serve on the state Board of Education by Gov. Larry Hogan in February 2019.
Denise Lynn Nappier is an American who served as Connecticut State Treasurer, from 1999 to 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she was first elected in 1998 and was re-elected in 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. She is the first African-American woman elected to statewide office in the history of Connecticut, the first woman elected State Treasurer in Connecticut history, and the first African-American woman elected to serve as state treasurer in the United States. In 2011, she was named to the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame.
Gail Lavielle is a former member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, where she represented the 143rd district. The district included parts of Wilton, Norwalk, and, following redistricting in 2012, Westport. The Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR) is a government body in the U.S. state of Connecticut that oversees the Connecticut State Colleges & Universities (CSCU). CSCU and the BOR were created on July 1, 2011, consolidating the governance of the state's twelve community colleges, four state universities, and Charter Oak State College. The BOR assumed the powers and responsibilities of the respective former Boards of Trustees and the Board for State Academic Awards; it also retains many responsibilities for setting statewide policy of the former Board of Governors for Higher Education.
