Personal life and education

Rosemary was a student at Makerere University. [4] She is the grand mother of Sharon Angella Nalukenge Salmon alias Sharon O. [8] [3] [1] [5]

Career

Rosemary was crowned Miss Uganda on 5 November 1967 [10] at Apollo Hotel which is now known as Sheraton Kampala Hotel by the 1966 Miss World, Reina Faria who was from India.She was among the six African entrants at the 1967 Miss World beauty pageant at the Lyceum Ballroom in London, a competition that was won by Madeleine Hartog of Peru on 16 November 1967 [11] [8] [14] [10] The six African contents came from Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. Miss Earth 2002, the 2nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held at Folk Arts Theater in Pasay, Philippines on October 20, 2002. In its second year, 53 delegates participated, exceeding the number of contestants in Miss International 2002, thereby becoming the world's third biggest international pageant in terms of number of contestants.

The winner was Madeline Hartog-Bel represented Peru. She was crowned by Miss World 1966, Reita Faria of India. Hartog-Bel was a semi-finalist of Miss Universe 1966.

Anita Kyarimpa better known as Anita Fabiola is a Ugandan actress, tourism ambassador, Event host, business woman, and former beauty queen. In February 2019 she was appointed as a Goodwill Tourism ambassador headlining the "Tulambule" campaign in liaison with the Uganda Tourism Board to promote tourism all over Uganda. Prior to hosting the Be my date show on NTV in 2014, Fabiola became Miss Uganda West and the first runner-up in the overall Miss Uganda beauty pageant in 2013. She is also known for hosting some of the Africa's biggest red carpet events. These include Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards in Nigeria (2016), Namibia Annual Music Awards, Ghana Movie Awards 2017, Ghana Music Awards 2016, Glitz Awards Ghana 2017, Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2016 among others.

Leah Kagasa, is a model and beauty pageant contestant who was crowned Miss Uganda 2016 at the age of 21 years. She reigned for 2 years as Miss Uganda from 2016 to 2018. She represented Uganda in Miss World 2016 in Washington, DC, that December. Currently she is involved in the Miss Uganda Foundation charity organization as an advocate for social issues like sanitation, teenage pregnancies and girl child education.

Sylvia Wilson Namutebi Alibhai is a Ugandan former model and beauty pageant titleholder. She reigned as Miss Uganda in 2011 and represented Uganda at Miss World later that year.

Miss Africa Great Britain is a beauty pageant open to African women resident in the United Kingdom. The winner becomes a goodwill ambassador for Miss Africa Great Britain, charged with designing and implementing a charity program based on her Pageant Platform.
