Roshan Lal Choudhary (born 1965) [1] is an Indian politician from Jharkhand. He is an MLA from Barkagaon Assembly constituency in Ramgarh District. He won the 2024 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party. [2]
Chaudhary is from Ramgarh, Jharkhand. He is the son of late Rijhunath Choudhary. He completed his graduation in 1989 at Ramgarh College, Ramgarh, which is affiliated with Ranchi University, Ranchi. His wife is a professor in Ranchi College. [1]
Chaudhary won from Barkagaon Assembly constituency representing Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2024 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election. He polled 1,24,468 votes and defeated his nearest rival, Amba Prasad Sahu of the Indian National Congress, by a margin of 31,393 votes. [3] He contested on All Jharkhand Students Union ticket and lost thrice in the 2009, 2014 and 2019 Assembly elections. [4] [5] Later, he joined the BJP and won the 2024 election. [6] [7]

The dynastic phenomenon is present at the national, state, regional, and district level. Loknath Mahato was a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the state of Jharkhand, India, elected from constituency Barkagaon which is in the Hazaribagh district of the state. He was first elected in 1995. Since then he has been re-elected three times, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), one of the main national parties of India. He was one of the contenders in the 12 December 2019 Jharkhand state assembly elections from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2014, Mahto had left BJP to join All Jharkhand Students Union, when denied ticket to contest from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency. He participated in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and finished at third position.
Ram Tahal Choudhary is an Indian politician, Educationalist, philanthropist. He was a BJP member of the Lok Sabha from Ranchi in Jharkhand from 1991 to 2004, and then 2014 to 2019. He used to belong to Bharatiya Janata Party, but resigned from the party when he was denied a ticket for 2019 Lok Sabha polls. He contested from Ranchi as an independent in 2019 but polled less than 2.5% votes. He had earlier served as member of Bihar Legislative Assembly.
