Rosie Tucker is an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. [1] Pitchfork has acclaimed Tucker's "surging pop hooks and sharp lyricism." [2]
A native of the San Fernando Valley, Tucker "grew up in a very Christian household and community." Tucker's mother grew up on a farm in Illinois, later becoming a computer programmer, and their father was a United States Marine who served in the Iraq War; the two met in a laundromat. Tucker started singing as a toddler, studied music at the University of Southern California, and in college grew disillusioned with organized religion. [3] [4] [5]
Tucker self-released their first full-length album in 2015 titled Lowlight. [6] In 2019, Tucker announced their second full-length album, Never Not Never Not Never Not, which was released on New Professor Music. [6] In 2021, Tucker announced they had signed to Epitaph Records. [7] They also announced their third full-length album titled Sucker Supreme. The album was released on April 30, 2021. [8] The album was listed on Pitchfork's list of "29 Great Records You May Have Missed: Spring 2021". [2] Tucker released a fourth album of songs no longer than one minute and 16 seconds, Tiny Songs Volume 1, in September 2023. [9] Their fifth studio album, Utopia Now!, was released on March 22, 2024. [10]
Tucker identifies as queer and uses they/them pronouns. [11] Their partner is the producer Wolfy, with whom they have worked on various projects such as Sucker Supreme and the lofi version Sucker Supreme to Study and Relax To. [9] [12]

Sleater-Kinney is an American rock band that formed in Olympia, Washington, in 1994. The band's lineup features Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein, following the departure of longtime member Janet Weiss in 2019. Sleater-Kinney originated as part of the riot grrrl movement and has become a key part of the American indie rock scene. The band is also known for its feminist and progressive politics.
CocoRosie is an American musical group formed in 2003 by sisters Sierra Rose "Rosie" and Bianca Leilani "Coco" Casady. The group's music has been described as folktronica, freak folk and "New Weird America", and incorporates elements of pop, blues, opera, electronica, and hip hop. Charlotte Emma Aitchison, known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer and songwriter. Born in Cambridge and raised in Start Hill, Essex, she began posting songs on Myspace in 2008, which led to her discovery by a promoter who invited her to perform at warehouse raves. Waxahatchee is an American indie music project, formed in 2010 by American singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield following the break-up of her previous band P.S. Eliot. The band is named after Waxahatchee Creek, in Alabama, where Crutchfield grew up. Originally an acoustic solo project, her recordings now tend to involve a full backing band. As Waxahatchee, she has released six solo studio albums to date: American Weekend (2012), Cerulean Salt (2013), Ivy Tripp (2015), Out in the Storm (2017), Saint Cloud (2020) and Tigers Blood (2024). Away from Waxahatchee, Crutchfield was also a member of alternative country duo Plains alongside Jess Williamson.
