The New Zealand men's national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Named the Black Caps,they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch,becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. Nathan John Astle is a former New Zealand cricketer,who played all formats of the game. A right-handed batsman who played as an opener in One Day Internationals (ODI),while batting in the middle order in Test matches. In a career that spanned 12 years,Astle played 81 Tests and 223 ODIs accumulating 4,702 and 7,090 runs respectively. As of 2022,he is New Zealand's fourth-most prolific run scorer. Astle collected 154 wickets with his medium-paced bowling at the international level. He holds two records –scoring the fastest double century in Test cricket and the second highest individual score in the fourth innings of a Test match. Both the records were achieved when he made 222 against England in Christchurch in 2002. Astle was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2000 ICC KnockOut Trophy. His innings of 145 not out is the highest individual score by a batsman in the ICC Champions Trophy,which he scored in the 2004 tournament.
Lee Kenneth Germon is a former New Zealand cricketer,wicket-keeper and former captain. He played for the provinces of Canterbury and Otago and is the most successful Canterbury cricket captain of the modern era. He was made captain of the New Zealand Cricket team on his Test match debut. He holds the unofficial record for the most runs (70),from a single over in first-class cricket.
Kenneth John Wadsworth was a New Zealand cricketer who played 33 Tests and 13 One Day Internationals for New Zealand as a wicket-keeper. Wadsworth also played for Nelson in the Hawke Cup.
The Central Stags,formerly known as Central Districts,are a first-class cricket team based in central New Zealand. They are the men's representative side of the Central Districts Cricket Association. They compete in the Plunket Shield first-class competition,The Ford Trophy domestic one-day competition and the Men's Super Smash Twenty20 competition. They are one of six teams that make up New Zealand Cricket. They were the fifth of the current teams to compete in the Plunket Shield,which they entered for the first time in the 1950/51 season.

He did,however,enjoy greater success as an all-rounder in District Cricket's Hawke Cup for Wairarapa,and as a bowler for Central District's under-23 team. He was also a very occasional right-arm medium bowler,who sent down a tidy yet wicket-less 64 balls.
Mukesh Shamsunder Narula is an Indian cricket coach and former player. His domestic career as an all-rounder for Baroda spanned from 1985 to 1996,and included a number of matches for West Zone in the Duleep and Deodhar Trophies. He was the head coach of Canada from 2014 to 2015.
Shirlon Ian Williams is a former Kittitian cricketer who played for the Leeward Islands and Combined Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He was a wicket-keeper who batted right-handed.

The 2017–18 Plunket Shield was the 89th season of the Plunket Shield,the domestic first-class cricket competition in New Zealand. The competition started on 23 October 2017 and finished on 5 April 2018. Canterbury were the defending champions.
The Northern Conference cricket team played first-class and List A cricket in New Zealand in the 1997–98 and 1998–99 seasons.
The 2018–19 Plunket Shield was the 90th season of the Plunket Shield,the domestic first-class cricket competition in New Zealand. It took place between October 2018 and March 2019. Unlike the previous edition of the competition,the tournament featured eight rounds of matches,instead of ten. Central Districts were the defending champions. Up to eleven international players,including New Zealand's captain Kane Williamson,were available for the opening round of the tournament.
