Roy Kaia (born 10 October 1991) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. [1] He plays first-class cricket for Mountaineers. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in May 2015.

Domestic career

Kaia was part of the 2010 Zimbabwe U19 team that lost to the South Africa U19 team. [2] He took 4 wickets for 49. He was also in the losing side against the same side a few months later in 2011 scoring 60 not out off 56 balls in a T20 match. [3] Kaia played first-class cricket for Southern Rocks and is currently part of Mountaineers team.

He has the most Pro50 Championship List A runs in the season leading the second-placed player by more than 100 runs with an average score of 76.40 in nine games, [4] also taking 6 wickets at an economy of 4.79.

In December 2020, he was selected to play for the Southern Rocks in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. [5] [6]

International career

The performance earned him a national selection when Zimbabwe toured Pakistan in May 2015. [7] He made his One Day International debut for Zimbabwe against Pakistan in Lahore on May 31, 2015 where he did not get to bowl or bat, as the match ended in no result. [8] In April 2021, he was named in Zimbabwe's Test squad, for the series against Pakistan. [9] He made his Test debut for Zimbabwe, against Pakistan, on 29 April 2021. [10] However, in July 2021, following the one-off Test against Bangladesh, Kaia was reported for a suspect bowling action. [11] [12]

Brian Vitalis Vitori is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He has played Test and ODI matches for Zimbabwe.

Tendai Larry Chatara is an international cricketer who represents the Zimbabwe national cricket team. A tall, wiry fast bowler with appreciable pace and the ability to move the ball away from the right-hander, Chatara has risen quickly to prominence since his first-class debut for Mountaineers in 2009. Though he was not good academically in school, he is one of the most talented pace prospects of his country.

Sikandar Raza Butt is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer, who plays all formats primarily as a batsman.

Tinotenda Confidence Mutombodzi is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He began his career as a leg-spin bowler, but now plays principally as a batsman. He made his One Day International debut against the West Indies in February 2013, and his T20 International debut in March 2013.

The Pakistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in April and May 2021 to play two Tests and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The tour of Zimbabwe followed on from Pakistan's tour of South Africa. On 28 March 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the tour itinerary, with all the matches being played behind closed doors in Harare.

Tanaka Chivanga is a Zimbabwean cricketer. In December 2020, he was selected to play for the Eagles in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. He made his first-class debut on 9 December 2020, for Eagles, in the 2020–21 Logan Cup tournament.
