Roy Millar

Frederick Roy Millar MBE is the Irish Football Association's director of coaching and former head coach of the Northern Ireland national under-21 football team. Born in Belfast, he previously played in the Irish League first for Portadown F.C. then for Cliftonville F.C. and finally finishing his playing career with Dundela F.C. in the old 'B' Division. Since joining the Irish FA in 1975 as a coach and as an international coach from 1982 Millar has at some point taken charge of all youth teams from Under-16 to Under-19 and also the Northern Ireland B team and the Northern Ireland Elite (Under-19) squad that takes part in the Milk Cup.

On 29 April 2008 the Irish FA announced a restructuring of their coaching framework with Millar stepping down from his role as Northern Ireland Under-21 coach due to retirement. At the same time Mal Donaghy and Kenny Shiels also left their positions as Under-19 and Under-17 teams respectively. [1] Millar retained his position as Director of Coaching through to 2009.

Millar was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2010 New Year Honours "for services to Youth Football in Northern Ireland." [2]

Birmingham City F.C. Development Squad and Academy are the reserve team and the youth development system of Birmingham City Football Club. The reserve team, established in 1879, played in the Premier Reserve League South in the 2009–10 season, but did not enter a league again until the 2012–13 season, when it was placed in the northern division of the newly formed Professional Development League 2, a predominantly under-21 league. The academy, established in its current form in 1999, trains boys in age groups from under 9s through to under 18s.

Christopher Leroy Ramsey is a former professional footballer who is currently technical director at Queens Park Rangers. He played as a defender, most often as a right back, for Bristol City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Swindon Town, Southend United, Naxxar Lions and Cocoa Expos. Ramsey coached for Tottenham Hotspur working with their academy and was appointed as first team coach where he assisted Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand. He was placed in temporary charge of Queens Park Rangers, in February 2015 following the resignation of manager, Harry Redknapp. After being temporary coach of Queens Park Rangers and following their relegation to the Championship, Ramsey was named head coach on a permanent basis in May 2015. He is nicknamed "Rambo".

The Northern Ireland national under-19 football team also known as Northern Ireland under-19s or Northern Ireland U19s represents Northern Ireland in association football at under-19 level. It is controlled by the Irish Football Association and began under the name of Ireland Youth when the Home Nations first held a round robin of friendly matches in 1948. The same year they entered the first International Youth Tournament, now the UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship. Their best performance was in 1963 when they finished as runner-up. The team evolved into the Northern Ireland under-18 team then the current under-19 team. As well as the UEFA Under-19 Championships the team also enters the annual Milk Cup. In addition, the team plays regular friendlies, sometimes as an under-20 or under-18 team by agreement of the opposing association.
