He won the Grey Cup with the Eskimos in 1955 and 1956. [1] Born in Chatham, Ontario, he previously attended the University of Toronto, where he played on the football team. He also played for the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen.

The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. The club competes in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member of the league's West Division and plays their home games at the Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. The Elks were founded in 1949 as the Edmonton Eskimos and have won the Grey Cup championship fourteen times, most recently in 2015. The team has a rivalry with the Calgary Stampeders and is one of the three community-owned teams in the CFL. The team discontinued using the "Eskimos" name in 2020, with the new name "Elks" being formally announced on June 1, 2021.

John Dickerson "Jackie" Parker was an American gridiron football player and coach. He was an All-American in college football and an outstanding professional football player in the Canadian Football League at the running back, quarterback, defensive back, and kicker positions. Later in his career, he played for the Toronto Argonauts and the BC Lions, and coached the Eskimos and Lions after his playing career ended.

Willie Pless is a former Canadian football linebacker in the Canadian Football League. He played for the Toronto Argonauts, BC Lions, Edmonton Eskimos, and Saskatchewan Roughriders, winning the 1993 Grey Cup with the Eskimos. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2005.
Edmond Paul Philion is the former defensive line coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. A former Canadian Football League defensive tackle who played eight seasons for the Montreal Alouettes, he won the 90th Grey Cup in 2002 and was an East Division All-Star from 2003 through 2006. Philion was a hockey player for the Essex 73's Jr.C. team in the mid-1980s.

William Thomas Briggs was a Canadian football player who played for the Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts. He won the Grey Cup with the Argos in 1947 (35th) before moving to Edmonton, where he had three more Grey Cup wins in 1954 (42nd), 1955 (43rd), and 1956 (44th).
