Rubondo Airstrip (TCAA designation: TZ-0023) is an airstrip serving Rubondo Island National Park in the Geita Region of northern Tanzania. The mostly uninhabited game reserve island is in the southwestern tip of Lake Victoria.

Rudi Kappel Airstrip is located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) south of the Tafelberg tepui in Suriname. It was constructed as part of Operation Grasshopper. It used to be named Tafelberg Airstrip, but was renamed Rudi Kappel Airstrip, after the co-pilot of a flight that crashed near Vincent Fayks Airport on 6 October 1959.

The island is located in the Sea of Zanj in the Indian Ocean, 17 kilometres (11 mi) across the Mafia Channel on the Tanzanian mainland coast. In 2013 the landing strip at Mafia Airport was rehabilitated using grant funds provided by the United States government through the Millennium Challenge Corporation. The Mafia non-directional beacon is located on the field.
Mpanda Airport is an airport in western Tanzania serving the town of Mpanda and the surrounding Katavi Region. It is on the southeastern side of the town. The UN Refugee Agency UNHCR helped the Government of Tanzania to finance the upgrade of the airstrip into an airport as a gesture of its appreciation for hosting Burundian refugees for more than 30 years.

The Tanzania National Parks Authority commonly known as TANAPA is responsible for the management of Tanzania's national parks. TANAPA is a parastatal corporation and all its income is reinvested into the organization. It is governed by a number of instruments including the National Parks Act, Chapter 282 of the 2002 and the Wildlife Conservation Act No. 5 of 2009. TANAPA manages the nation's 22 National parks which covers approximately 15% of the land area and has the mandate to conserve and manage the wildlife in Tanzania, and to enforce the related laws and regulations in this industry. It manages the biodiversity of the country, protecting and conserving the flora and fauna. The organization does not have a mandate over the game reserves such as the Selous Game Reserve which is managed by the Tanzanian Wildlife Division and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area managed by the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority.
