Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. "Shut Up" is a song by American hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas. The song was released in late 2003 as the second single from their studio album, Elephunk (2003). The song is about a disastrous courtship with the chorus consisting of the lines "Shut up, just shut up, shut up". "Shut Up" was not successful in the United States but became a hit internationally, topping the charts of Australia, New Zealand, and 12 European countries. It was Europe's second-most-successful hit of 2004.
