In the United States, a farm-to-market road or ranch-to-market road is a state road or county road that connects rural or agricultural areas to market towns. These are better quality roads, usually a highway, that farmers and ranchers use to transport products to market towns or distribution centers.
U.S. Route 68 is a United States highway that runs for 560 miles (900 km) from northwest Ohio to Western Kentucky. The highway's western terminus is at US 62 in Reidland, Kentucky. Its present northern terminus is at Interstate 75 in Findlay, Ohio, though the route once extended as far north as Toledo. US 68 intersects with US 62 three times during its route.
State Route 65 is a north-south state highway in the U.S. state of California. It is composed of two segments in the Central Valley. The southern segment begins at SR 99, near Bakersfield and terminates at SR 198 near Exeter. It also serves the communities of Oildale, Ducor, Terra Bella, Porterville, Strathmore, and Lindsay. The northern segment begins at Interstate 80 in Roseville and terminates at SR 70 at Olivehurst. It also serves Lincoln and Wheatland.
King's Highway 148, commonly referred to as Highway 148, is a provincially maintained highway in Ontario, Canada. The highway acts as an extension of Route 148 in Quebec, once connecting it with Highway 17, the Trans-Canada Highway, near Pembroke. It was shortened to its present terminus in 1997, and now connects downtown Pembroke to the provincial border. Highway 148 follows a route that was once part of Highway 17 and Highway 62 until the Pembroke Bypass opened in 1982.
State Route 229 is a state highway in the U.S. state of California, running in San Luis Obispo County from State Route 58 to State Route 41. It connects the small community of Creston with the rural state routes. Also, in conjunction with SR 58 and SR 41, it provides a slower, more scenic route between the Central Coast and the San Joaquin Valley.
Farm to Market Road 1472 (FM 1472) is a farm-to-market road in the U.S. state of Texas that connects the industrial area of Laredo to the Laredo–Colombia Solidarity International Bridge, and then runs roughly parallel to the Rio Grande into rural Webb County. In the urban sections of Laredo, it is a six-lane route known locally as Mines Road.
State Route 18 is a primary state highway in south-central West Tennessee. SR 18 is a two-lane facility throughout the majority of its length through the state with the exception being in Bolivar, Tennessee. SR 18 has a short concurrency with US 64 and also with SR 125 at Bolivar.
State Route 278 is a north–south state highway located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The southern terminus of SR 278 is at US 50 approximately 4.75 miles (7.64 km) east of McArthur. The highway's northern terminus is at the T-intersection it has with SR 595 nearly 5.50 miles (8.85 km) northwest of Nelsonville.
Reno County Area Transit, known as Rcat, provides public transportation for the citizens of Reno County, Kansas. Fixed route and paratransit operations serve urban Hutchinson and South Hutchinson. A more flexible service, which requires 24 hours advance notice, is provided for the rural communities of the county, with a free transfer to city routes.
The Monroe County Transit Authority (MCTA), also known as the Pocono Pony, is a public transportation service located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It provides rural and inter-city fixed route bus and paratransit service within the county. MCTA is funded in part by PennDOT, the Federal Transit Administration, local match and farebox revenue.
Ozark Regional Transit is the provider of mass transportation in the Northwest Arkansas region, including Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville.
Pennsylvania Route 958 is an 8.63-mile-long (13.89 km) state highway located in Warren County, Pennsylvania. The designation's southern terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Route 6 (US 6) in Pittsfield Township. The route heads through several small communities, including Lottsville, where it goes on a short concurrency with PA 957. The northern terminus is at the New York state line at Freehold Township, just east of Bear Lake. There, the route continues through New York as Chautauqua County Route 33 (CR 33). PA 958 was designated in 1928 as a connector from US 6 to the community of Wrightsville, where the designation terminated. The route was extended northward along its current alignment in 1936 and has remained unchanged since.

Richland County Transit is the provider of mass transportation in Mansfield, Ohio. Nine routes operate Monday through Friday. Over 500 signed stops are located within the system.
The "Blue Bus" lines was a group of four affiliated privately owned public transportation companies that provided bus transit service in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area in the 1950s and 1960s. The name was unofficial but was in common use in the 1960s, and variations included "Blue Bus lines", "Blue Lines", "blue bus" lines and "blue buses". The Blue Bus companies provided service only between Portland and suburbs outside the city, or within such suburbs, as transit service within the city of Portland was the exclusive franchise of the Portland Traction Company or, after 1956, the Rose City Transit Company (RCT). The "blue buses" were prohibited from making stops inside the city except to pick up passengers destined for points outside RCT's service area. The "blue" name was a reference to the paint scheme worn by most buses of the consortium. By contrast, city transit operator Rose City's buses wore a primarily red paint scheme.
Russell Transpo was a public transportation provider to residents of Russell Township in Prescott and Russell United Counties, Ontario, Canada. Launched in 2008, the system allows for rush hour access between the township's main villages of Embrun and Russell, and the City of Ottawa; this connection to the nation's capital, about 30 km to the northwest, was instituted because the township was evolving into bedroom community for government workers.
Recreational Road 255 (RE 255) is a Recreational Road located in Tyler, Jasper, and Newton counties, in the southeastern region of the U.S. state of Texas. The highway is approximately 56.6 miles (91.1 km) long, and travels through mainly rural areas in the northern portion of the three counties. RE 255 begins at an intersection with U.S. Route 69, in Tyler County, near the city of Colmesneil. The route travels through rural farmland in northern Tyler County, and crosses the Neches River into Jasper County. The roadway intersects State Highway 63 and US 96, and helps form part of the Sam Rayburn Dam. The route continues into Newton County, intersecting TX 87, before terminating at an intersection with Farm to Market Road 692, near the Louisiana border. RE 255 helps provide access to Angelina National Forest, the Sam Rayburn Reservoir, and the Toledo Bend Reservoir, which give the highway its Recreational Road designation.
