Ruth Ann Jamnick (born November 8,1941) was a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives. Prior to her election to the House,Jamnick served 22 years as the Ypsilanti Township Treasurer,and she served one term as that township's supervisor following her time in the House. [1]
Jamnick also served as a member of the State Boundary Commission from 2005 to 2013. [2] She was also a member of the Washtenaw County chapter of the Michigan Townships Association and as the association's second vice president. Jamnick was the Ypsilanti Township delegate to the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG),and is a past chair of the Washtenaw County United Way. [3]

M-17 is a 6.390-mile-long (10.284 km) state trunkline highway in the U.S. state of Michigan,connecting the cities of Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor in Washtenaw County. It was once part of a highway that spanned the southern Lower Peninsula of Michigan before the creation of the U.S. Highway System in 1926. The designation once extended into downtown Detroit,but the eastern terminus was progressively scaled back in the late 1960s to the current location in Ypsilanti. Deatrick is also a member of UAW Local 2320 and serves as a delegate to her regional labor federation. She serves on the board of directors of the Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy. In addition to her political career,she has won several national poetry fellowships and awards.
