Ryan Saavedra is an American who works for The Daily Wire . [1] He had been accused of plagiarism multiple times by the different outlets he has written for and many other writers. [1]

Career

In early 2017, he wrote for the website The Gateway Pundit . Later in 2017, he became editor and writer for Breitbart News. [2] [3] While at Breitbart News, he focused primarily on stories about crimes by Latino immigrants, [4] and also promoted Murder of Seth Rich conspiracy theories. [4]

In 2017, after a London terrorist attack by Islamist terrorists, he wrote, "People think I’m kidding when I say this but the crusades need to come back." [2] [3] He left Breitbart News shortly thereafter. [4]

Later in 2017, he became contributor to both The Daily Caller and The Daily Wire. [4] He was accused of plagiarism (posting slightly altered versions of the same stories to both websites) and left The Daily Caller shortly thereafter. [4] He has subsequently been accused by other conservative writers of plagiarizing both tweets and stories. [4]

He falsely claimed in 2018 that Parkland shooting survivor and gun control activist David Hogg used a Nazi salute, and has published misleadingly edited videos to suggest former Attorney General Eric Holder and former Vice President Joe Biden supported the use of violence in politics. [4]
