Satya Narayan Pradhan better known as S.N. Pradhan or Satya Pradhan is the current Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau and an IPS officer of 1988 batch from Jharkhand cadre. [2] [3]
He is the former Joint Secretary,Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. [4] [5] While Pradhan is a native of Odisha he is born in Patna,Bihar.
He had also served as Senior IPS officer from Odisha State. [6] [7]
Pradhan earlier worked as Assistant Director and Deputy Director at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy,Hyderabad and trained 6 batches of IPS officers. [8]
Prior to join SVPNPA he worked as Superintendent of Police and Additional Director General of Police (Law &Order) in various districts of Bihar state. [9] [10]
Jyoti Kumar Sinha was born in Patna,Bihar. He served as Director General of Central Reserve Police Force and later as Member of the National Disaster Management Authority and RAW chief. He is a Bihar cadre Indian Police Service officer of the 1967 batch.

Earlier,he served as the Superintendent of Police in Araria,Purnia and Munger districts of Bihar. His tenure as the SP of Patna was quite popular.
