Malick Mendosa, better known by his stage name S.Pri Noir, is a French rapper of Senegalese origin. [1]

Biography

Born to a mother from Senegal, a nursery school teacher, and a father from Guinea-Bissau, he grew up in the 18th arrondissement of Paris until the age of 12, then spent his teenage years in the Fougères district, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. [2]

During his teenage years, S.Pri Noir played American football in the Flash de la Courneuve club, twice winning the French championship with his team. [3] Mendosa chose S.Pri Noir to use as a screen name on MSN Messenger, and later decided to adopt it for the stage.

He studied for a BTS Technico-commercial , a French sales and marketing qualification, while writing his first lyrics. He set up his own label, Nouvelle École, and signed to Sony together with three other rappers: Still Fresh, Moblack and Cerebro. [4]

Between 2008 and 2009, he joined the collective L'Institut du 75 (which later became "L'Institut") made up of numerous rappers including Jarod, Dr Beriz (Toxmo at the time), Abou Debeing and 1solent. He also performed on the first two volumes of À la Fuck you.

In 2013, he collaborated on the track Marche with 12 other rappers such as: Nekfeu, Disiz, Soprano, Sadek, Kool Shen, Akhenaton and many other artists. [5]

In 2015, S.Pri Noir took part in the second annual AbbéRoad, [6] a charity concert organised by the Abbé Pierre Foundation.

He joined S&S Tour with Sneazzy from March 2018, following a concert at La Cigale in October 2017. [7]

He released his debut album Masque Blanc on 11 May 2018, which sold 6,000 copies in its first week and reached number 18 on the Top Albums chart in France, featuring collaborations with artists Nekfeu, Nemir and Still Fresh. [8] The album went gold in France in March 2019. [9]

His second solo album, État d'esprit, was released on 17 April 2020 and featured contributions from Leto, Alpha Wann, Sneazzy, 4Keus, Alonzo, Lefa, Laylow, Lyna Mahyem and Dadju. [10]

Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, better known by his stage name Maître Gims and more recently just Gims, is a Congolese-French singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter. He grew up in France and currently lives in France and Morocco. He is a former member of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assaut and released his first major album, Subliminal in 2013. The album sold over a million copies in France and peaked at number two in the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique. His other two albums follow: Mon cœur avait raison in 2015 and Ceinture noire in 2018 reached number one in France and Belgium (Wallonia) and peaked in the top 40 in various European countries, including Denmark, Italy, and Switzerland.

Alpha Omar Wann, also known as Phaal or Philly Phaal, is a French rapper and songwriter, and was the main member of the band 1995 that also included Nekfeu, Areno Jaz, Fonky Flav', Sneazzy and DJ Lo'. He was also member of the band L'entourage. He is the founder of Don Dada Records, and he signed to Universal Music.

Ken Samaras, better known by his stage name Nekfeu, is a French rapper, actor and record producer. He is also a member of the crew L'entourage and the bands $-Crew and 1995. He started his career as a member of $-Crew, with childhood friends Framal, Mekra, 2zer Washington and DJ Elite. He joined 1995 in 2007, participating in open mic duels around Paris.

L'Institut is a French hip hop collective, established in 2005 as an offshoot of Sexion d'Assaut, and associated with Wati B. L'institut was formed by various rap and hip hop / freestyle acts mostly coming from 9th arrondissement in Paris. L'Institut released the collective album Equipe de nuit in June 2013 that included in addition various collaborations with L.I.O. Pétrodollars, S.Pri Noir and Shin Sekaï. The group was dissolved in 2014, despite encouraging initial success with various band members concentrating on solo projects and collaborations.

"Ma dope" is a song by French hip hop artist Nekfeu featuring fellow French hip hop artist S.Pri Noir. It is the twelfth track from Nekfeu's debut studio album Feu and is produced by himself and DJ Elite.

"Princesse" is a song by French hip hop artist Nekfeu featuring French singer Nemir. The fifteenth track from Nekfeu's debut studio album Feu, the song is produced by Nekfeu himself, as well as DJ Elite.

Dadju Alimasi Nsungula, better known by the mononym Dadju or at times Prince Dadj, is a Congolese-French singer. He was signed to the label Wati B and in 2017 signed with Polydor Records of Universal Music Group. He was a member of the musical formation Shin Sekaï alongside rapper Abou Tall from 2012 to 2016. The duo was part of the label Wati B and released the album Indéfini. The duo announced that they were breaking up so they can each follow solo careers. Dadju released his solo album Gentleman 2.0 in 2017.

His first album, Trinity, featured collaborations with Lomepal, S.Pri Noir, Jok'Air, Wit., Alpha Wann, and was released on 28 February 2020. The album reached number 3 in the French Albums Charts. The follow-up L'étrange histoire de Mr. Anderson peaked at number 1 with collaborations with Damso, Nekfeu, Hamza, Alpha Wann and Slowthai.

Clément Enzo Florian di Fiore, better known by his stage name Népal, was a French rapper and beatmaker. He was also known as KLM and GrandMaster Splinter. A co-founding member of the collective 75e Session, he produced their EP 16par16 in 2014. He also formed with Doums the duo 2Fingz. He was also close to the collective L'Entourage, to the band 1995 and the project Les Gars Laxistes. Népal attached great importance to remain anonymous, covering his face with a hood, a mask, or even with make up.
