Vice Admiral Soonil Vasant Bhokare, AVSM, YSM, NM is a former Flag Officer of the Indian Navy. He last served as the Inspector General Nuclear Safety. [1]
Bhokare is an alumnus of Sainik School Satara. He is a Graduate of National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla. He also attended the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Tamil Nadu. He graduated from the Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow and also holds a master's degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Australian Defence College, Canberra. [2]
Bhokare has commanded the submarines INS Sindhughosh, INS Sindhudhvaj, INS Sindhushastra, as well as the guided missile frigate INS Beas and the submarine base INS Vajrabahu. He was also the Commodore Commanding Submarines (West) and Chief Staff Officer (Operations) at Eastern Naval Command.
As a Rear Admiral, Bhokare has served as the Flag Officer Submarines (FOSM) and later as Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF). [3] He was also the Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy. [4]

The Eastern Naval Command is one of the three command-level formations of the Indian Navy. It is headquartered in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The command is responsible for the all naval forces in the Bay of Bengal and parts of the Indian Ocean and the naval establishments on the east coast of India.

The Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy is the head and in-charge of all the functioning of the Indian Naval Academy. Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM is a serving four star flag officer of the Indian Navy. He is the current and the 26th Chief of the Naval Staff. He took over as the 26th CNS succeeding Admiral R. Hari Kumar on 30 April 2024. He previously served as the 38th Vice Chief of the Naval Staff. He earlier served as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Naval Command, prior to that he served as the Chief of Personnel (COP) and as the Director General of Naval Operations (DGNO).
Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM is a retired officer of the Indian Navy. He served as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command. He had earlier served as the Chief of Staff of ENC from 2020 to 2021, Controller of Personnel Services at Naval HQ from 2019 to 2020 and as the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF) from 2016 to 2018.

The Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) is a training organisation in the Indian Navy. FOST is the authority responsible for the operational sea training of all personnel of Indian Naval and Coast Guard ships and submarines. The organisation was instituted in 1992 and is the common authority to maintain battle efficiency standards. It also provides training to navies and maritime security forces of friendly foreign countries (FFC). Headquartered in Kochi, the FOST operates under the control of the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Naval Command.
The Flag Officer Submarines (FOSM) is the single-point class authority of submarines in the Indian Navy. A two star Officer holding the rank of Rear Admiral, the FOSM is responsible for submarine safety, submarine training, maintenance and operating schedules and operational readiness inspections. The current FOSM is Rear Admiral Chetan C Chandegave who assumed office on 1 Sept 2024.

He last served as the as the Commandant of the National Defence Academy. He previously served as the Director General Project Seabird, Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area (FOMA) in Mumbai and as the Flag Officer Commanding Goa Naval Area (FOGA) and Flag Officer Naval Aviation (FONA) in Goa.
