SEARLS also known as Jamie Searls is an Irish singer/songwriter, live vocalist and music industry educator. [1] [2] [3]
SEARLS acted as a leading man in London's West End, toured shows nationally and internationally and sang backing vocals for Adele and Elton John. [4] [5] He is best known for playing Zayn Malik in the West End production of Only One Direction, the west end story [6]
Following viral hit single 'Doing Time' in 2015. [7] , which was remixed by prominent UK house producers including Sony Music's Kenny Hectyc, SEARLS released his debut EP 'Follow' in 2016, [8] . 'Demons' premiered in Clash Magazine. 'Hurricane' premiered in Wonderland. [9] [10]
Described as a sophisticated electronic-pop artist, he released 'SCAR' in 2018. [11] SCAR was produced and co-written with Tileyard Music's Gil Lewis. The song was accompanied by a Wes Anderson inspired video release. [12]
In 2023, Searls was appointed as Managing Director of Tileyard Education, a leading postgraduate and undergraduate training facility which specialises in music business, music production, commercial songwriting and sound engineering education. [13]
Tileyard is a creative hub home to more than 200 music businesses such as Soundcloud, Ableton and Believe, and over 150 private recording studios, home to The Prodigy, Lily Allen and Noel Gallagher and more. [14] Tileyard Music, the in-house record label, manages prominent artists like Sigala, Joel Corry, and Ella Eyre. [15]

Nick Halkes is a UK based music industry executive best known for signing a breaking dance act the Prodigy and being one of the founders of the XL Recordings label. He is now an artist manager and music publisher, managing Liam Howlett, Bad Company UK and more. Halkes previously managed Engine-EarZ Experiment, DJ Fresh and Stanton Warriors. Over recent years as a manager, Halkes has also worked with DJ René LaVice. He is also a part time lecturer on the music industry at the University of Westminster. Currently he does guest lectures at a variety of UK educational institutions including The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (London), London College of Creative Media (London), Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (Nottingham), Tileyard Education (London), Notting Hill Academy of Music (London), Birmingham City University, Point Blank (London), BIMM and more. Halkes has played multiple festivals including Bestival, Shindig, Eastern Electrics, Beautiful Days, Bluedot and more.
Banquet Records is a record shop in Kingston upon Thames, Greater London. Formerly part of the Beggars Banquet Records retail chain, it became fully independent in 2002. It stocks a broad range of music on both vinyl and CD. The establishment is also home to Gravity DIP music management, as well as the Banquet Records record label.
