University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was established in 1917, under the name Government Engineering College, by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. It is the 5th engineering college to be established in the country and 1st in Karnataka. UVCE is one of the few technical institutions in the country that is vested with the status of a university and autonomy on the lines of IITs. It is one of the oldest technical institutions in the country, imparting technical education leading to B.Tech., B. Arch., M.Tech., M. Arch. and PhD degrees in the various disciplines of Engineering and Architecture. The college is approved by the AICTE and the Government of Karnataka. UVCE has secured an NAAC accreditation score of 3.75. UVCE, while a constituent college of Bangalore University until 2022, secured an NIRF ranking of 64. The college used to receive financial aid under the TEQIP program from the World Bank.

Sujoy Kumar Guha is an Indian biomedical engineer. He was born in Patna, India, 20 June 1940. He did his undergraduate degree (B.Tech.) in electrical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, followed by a master's degree in electrical engineering at IIT, and another master's degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Guha later received his Ph.D. in medical physiology from St. Louis University.

Uday B. Desai is an Indian academician and the founding director of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. He is a Professor Emeritus in Electrical engineering Chancellor ICFAI Dehradun, Chancellor Anurag University, Hyderabad Honorary Distinguished Professor Plaksha University and a Strategic Consultant for TSDSI. He served as the director of IIT Hyderabad from June 2009 to July 2019, and is credited for taking it to rank among the top 10 engineering colleges in India in the NIRF engineering ranking. He was mentor director of IIT Bhilai from May 2016 to February 2017 and mentor director for IIIT Chittoor 2013–2018.

Angarai Ganesan Ramakrishnan is a senior professor of electrical engineering and an associate faculty of Centre for Neuroscience, both at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He also holds an adjunct faculty position in the Department of Heritage Science and Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He heads the Medical intelligence and language engineering lab. He also won the Manthan Award 2015 for his project, “Madhura - the gift of voice”, under the category, e-education, learning, and employment. He is also one of the founder directors of RaGaVeRa Indic Technologies private limited recognized by the Karnataka Government as one of the Elevate 2019 Startup winners. He is one of the advisors of Bhashini AI Solutions private limited also recognized by the Karnataka Government as one of the Elevate 2019 Startup winners. From January 2017 to June 2020, he was a Member of the Karnataka Knowledge Commission. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) since November 2019. Since August 2022, he is also the Advisor - Neuroscience to Feedfront Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a startup based in Bangalore.

Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad is an autonomous engineering and technology institute in Dharwad, Karnataka, India. IIT Dharwad started functioning from July 2016 in a temporary campus, previously of the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) in Belur Industrial Area, on the outskirts of Dharwad city. It was formally inaugurated on 28 August 2016. For the academic year 2016–2017, the institute offered B.Tech courses in three branches, namely. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. The year 2021 saw the introduction of an additional branch, Engineering physics. As of 2022, the institute expanded to provide four additional courses of study, namely Chemical and Biochemical engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Civil and Infrastructure engineering, and Interdisciplinary Sciences.

He is known for his geotomographical studies and is an elected fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, Indian Geophysical Union and the National Academy of Sciences, India, The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards for his contributions to Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences in 2002.

Mangalore Anantha Pai was an Indian electrical engineer, academic and a Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. A former professor of electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, he is known for his contributions in the fields of power stability, power grids, large scale power system analysis, system security and optimal control of nuclear reactors and he has published 8 books and several articles. Pai is the first India born scientist to be awarded a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Suhash Chandra Dutta Roy is an Indian electrical engineer and a former professor and head of the department of electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is known for his studies on analog and digital signal processing and is an elected fellow of all the three major Indian science academies viz. Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Sciences, India as well as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Systems Society of India and Acoustical Society of India, The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards for his contributions to Engineering Sciences in 1981.

He is known for his pioneering studies on computer vision and is an elected fellow of all the three major Indian science academies viz. the National Academy of Sciences, India, Indian Academy of Sciences, and Indian National Science Academy. He is also a fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He is known for his studies on metastable soft matter and is an elected fellow of the Society of Rheology, Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, and Indian National Academy of Engineering. In 2015, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded Joshi the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology for his contributions to Engineering Sciences. In 2023, he received prestigious J C Bose fellowship constituted by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India.

Bayya Yegnanarayana is an INSA Senior Scientist at International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He is an eminent professor and is known for his contributions in Digital Signal Processing, Speech Signal Processing, Artificial Neural Networks and related areas. He has guided about 39 PhD theses, 43 MS theses and 65 MTech projects. He was the General Chair for the international conference, INTERSPEECH 2018, held at Hyderabad. He also holds the positions as Distinguished Professor, IIT Hyderabad and an Adjunct Faculty, IIT Tirupati.

Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi is an Indian professor, education administrator and former director of IIT Roorkee. Previously, he has been the Dean (R&D), and former Deputy Director at IIT Kanpur. He has largely contributed to waveform shaping and sequence design, MIMO systems. Recently, he has been bestowed with additional charge of director (acting) of newly established IIT Mandi and served the office till January 2022.Thereafter, he was succeeded by Professor Laxmidhar Behera.
