Saalschutz is a Swiss electropop band from Zurich. The band classifies its style as "techno punk".
After a split single with Knarf Rellöm, released on Rewika Records in 2003, the first album Das ist nicht mein Problem followed in 2004, released on ZickZack records. [1] Saalschutz combines electronic dance music with mostly German, sometimes English and seldom French or Swiss German lyrics which often have dadaistic characteristics. It combines the styles of Synthpop, Electropunk and Electroclash – as well as Metal, Garage Rock, Tribal House and Trance – creating a style similar to that of Knarf Rellöm, Räuberhöhle and (in parts) Egotronic. In 2006, the second regular album Saalschutz machts möglich was released on ZickZack and Audiolith Records. [2] (meaning "Saalschutz makes it possible") After touring extensively, the band released their third album Entweder Saalschutz in November 2010. [3]
While, compared to bands like Egotronic or Frittenbude, not being explicitly political in their lyrics, Saalschutz supports political initiatives such as I Can't Relax in Deutschland [4] or Rage Against Abschiebung. [5]

Wizo is a German punk rock band from Sindelfingen, that formed in 1985. Their messages run from political to humorous; the band espouses left-wing politics and describes themselves as "against Nazis, racists, sexists, and other assholes!" On later releases, they incorporated some death metal influences, but the band referred to their sound as "grindpunk". They played their farewell concert on January 29, 2011, at the Feierwerk in München, a recording of which formed their final release, the DVD Abschiedskonzert. A reunion followed in 2014.
Rosenstolz was a German pop duo from Berlin that was active between 1991 and 2012 and had chart hits in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The duo consisted of singer AnNa R. and musician Peter Plate, who occasionally provided vocals. Rosenstolz achieved major chart success after the nineties, with five studio albums going to No. 1 in the German albums chart. Although the duo split up to pursue separate music careers, they left open the possibility of a future reunion.
