Sabine Bischoff (21 May 1958 – 6 March 2013) was a German fencer. [1]
Sabine Bischoff fought for the Fencing-Club Tauberbischofsheim. She won a gold medal in the team foil at the 1984 Summer Olympics, which was the first German Olympic gold medal in this event. Between 1979 and 1986 Bischoff won six medals at world championships in the same team foil event, including a gold in 1985; she lost the individual foil final in 1985 to her teammate Cornelia Hanisch. Bischoff had degrees in psychology, history and social sciences, and worked as a high school teacher after retiring from competitions. She died after a long, chronic disease. Her brother Stefan also competed in foil, but at a national level. [1] [2]
Maria Valentina Vezzali is an Italian politician and retired Olympic and World Champion foil fencer. As a fencer, Vezzali won six Olympic gold medals and was a 16-time World Champion in foil. She is one of only five athletes in the history of the Summer Olympic Games to have won five medals in the same individual event.

Elena Dmitriyevna Novikova-Belova is a retired Russian foil fencer, known professionally simply as Elena Belova. She competed at the 1968, 1972, 1976 and 1980 Olympics in the individual and team events and won four gold, one silver and one bronze medal, becoming the first female fencer to win four Olympic gold medals. She nearly won a fifth gold in 1976, but lost her last pool match to the last-placed fencer. Belova also won eight world titles, individually in 1969, and with the Soviet team in 1970–1979.
Stefano Cerioni is an Italian foil fencer, Olympic team champion in 1984, Olympic champion in 1988 and World team champion in 1985 and 1994. He became a fencing master, then a director of foil, first for Italy, then for Russia, then again for Italy.

Christiane Weber is a German fencer. She won gold medals in the team foil events at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics. Weber is married to Achim Bellmann, who competed in the modern pentathlon at the 1984 Games.
Nili Drori is an Israeli fencer. She competed in the women's individual foil events at the 1976, and 1984 Summer Olympics. At the 1976 Summer Olympics, at the age of 15, she went 2-3 in Round One, and 1-4 in Round Two. At the 1984 Summer Olympics at the age of 23, she went 3-3 in Round One, 3-1 in the quarterfinals, and 1-4 in the semifinals.
Ute Kircheis-Wessel is a retired German fencer. She won a gold medal in the women's team foil at the 1984 Summer Olympics. At the 1976 Summer Olympics she finished in 32nd and fourth place in the individual and team foil events, respectively. She won four medals at world championships in the team foil between 1977 and 1983. Her brother-in-law Friedrich Wessel is also an Olympic foil fencer.
Zita-Eva Funkenhauser is a retired, Romanian-born German foil fencer. In 1984 and 1988 she won two team gold and bronze medal at the Olympics competing for West Germany and a silver competing for Germany.

Nicole Ross is an American foil fencer. Fencing for the Columbia Lions fencing team, she won the 2010 NCAA individual women's foil title, and was a three time All-American. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she competed in individual women's foil, coming in 25th, while in the team event she and her teammates came in sixth. At the 2018 World Championships, she and Team USA won the gold medal in the women's team foil event.
İrem Karamete is a Turkish fencer competing in the foil event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the first Turkish fencer to qualify for the Olympics since 1984.
Yuka Ueno is a Japanese fencer. She won the silver medal in the women's foil event at the 2019 Asian Fencing Championships held in Chiba, Japan. She also won the gold medal in the women's team foil event.
Karin Miyawaki is a Japanese fencer. She has won medals at several editions of the Asian Fencing Championships and, in 2014, she won one of the bronze medals in the women's team foil event at the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea.
