Sabrina Maneca-Voinea [1] [2] (born June 4, 2007) is a Romanian artistic gymnast.

Personal life

Voinea was born in Constanța in 2007. [3] Her mother, Camelia Voinea, is a former artistic gymnast who competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal with the Romanian team. [4] When Sabrina was young, Camelia brought her to the gym where she worked as a coach, and Sabrina became interested in gymnastics herself. Sabrina is coached by her mother. [5]

Junior career

Voinea started competing for the Romanian national team in 2017. In April 2022, she competed at the Junior City of Jesolo Trophy. She helped Romania finish fourth in the team competition. She also won the bronze medal on vault and finished seventh on floor. In July, Voinea competed at the European Youth Summer Olympic Festival. She helped Romania win the gold medal. In the individual events, she finished 12th in the all-around, fourth on vault, and fifth on floor. In August, Voinea competed at the Junior European Championships. She helped Romania win the bronze medal in the team competition. She also finished fourth in the all-around, won the gold medal on vault, and won the bronze medal on floor. [6]

Senior career

In April 2023, Voinea competed at the European Championships. She helped Romania finish fifth in the team competition. She also finished fourth on vault and won the bronze medal on floor. In October, Voinea competed at the World Championships. She helped Romania finish 10th in the team competition in qualifications, and they did not advance to the final. Individually, she qualified to the floor final, where she finished fourth.

Anamaria "Ana" Tămârjan is a Romanian artistic gymnast. She is a bronze Olympic medalist and a gold European medalist with the team. Individually, she is a European silver medalist on balance beam and a bronze medalist on floor. Her favorite events are the floor and the balance beam.

She was best known for her powerful tumbling, her innovative 1986–87 floor exercise that featured breakdancing elements, and for being the first gymnast to tumble a double layout to punch front somersault. In 1987 she scored a perfect ten for the floor exercise during the team competition event at the World Championships.

Eugenia Golea is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast, who competed in international events between 1984 and 1988. She is known for scoring a perfect 10 for the vault optional in the team competition of the 1987 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and for being the first gymnast to compete two consecutive layout stepout jumps. She helped her team to win an Olympic silver medal, a world title and a world silver medal. She liked all the events equally, though she excelled in vaulting and floor. On vault she won a world silver medal and a continental bronze and on beam she won a continental silver medal.

Daniela Mărănducă Nicolai is a retired artistic and aerobic gymnast. During her career she won nine medals at the World and European championships. She is currently a coach of the Romanian junior national artistic gymnastics team.
