Sackville was a Canadian musical group based in Montreal that played what has been classified as country and pop, [1] although their style resembles more folk, rock and avantgarde. They formed in 1994 and recorded their first album in 1996. [2] [3]

Sackville disbanded in 2001, but many members have gone on to play in other bands, including: Wild Lawns and Black Ox Orkestar (Gabriel Levine), Hangedup (Genevieve Heistek and Eric Craven), Re: and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band (Ian Ilavsky), Triple Burner (Harris Newman - also solo), The Carnations (Pat Conan) and The Red and the Black, Haywood, Cherubino, The Trouble with Sweeney (Rob Viola).

Rick White is a Canadian musician and singer-songwriter. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, he was a member of indie bands Eric's Trip, Elevator, Perplexus, and The Unintended. White first played music, in a band called "Bloodstain", in 1984, before starting his own band "in 1986", called "T.C.I.B", which later transitioned into the band name, "The Underdogs", which lasted from the summer of 1987, until June 1988. By the summer of 1989, The Underdogs had broken up, and Rick had joined another band, "The Forest", which lasted from the 1989, until June 1990, with a one-off recording session happening in December, 1990. Prior to Eric's Trip, and while in Eric's Trip, White also recorded two solo-produced albums, one in March 1990, and another in August 1991, but both were not released until 2022. Known for lo-fi recording, he has also recorded and produced music for The Sadies, Orange Glass, Joel Plaskett, One Hundred Dollars, Dog Day, HotKid and his former Eric's Trip bandmate Julie Doiron.

First Words was a Canadian hip hop group, consisting of Halifax beatmaker Jorun Bombay, DJ STV and emcees Above and Sean One. The group released two albums and an EP, as well as contributing tracks to several hiphop compilations, and was active from 2004 to 2008.

Blaine Thurier is a Canadian musician and filmmaker. He played synthesizer with the Canadian indie pop supergroup The New Pornographers from their inception in 1997 up to 2021. He also directed several music videos for the band during his tenure. Thurier has written and directed feature films, which have been screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), South by Southwest Film Festival, Slamdance and other festivals. Thurier served as a 2011 panelist for the TIFF.

Music for the Hard of Thinking is the third studio album for Canadian pop music group Doug and the Slugs. It was released domestically in 1982 on Bennett's own record label Ritdong and internationally in 1983 by RCA Records. This recording helped get the band nominated for a 1983 Juno Award.
