She made her debut after she won a local singing competition show, Bintang HMI in 1995 when she was 16. Her debut single, Jerat Percintaan, won the 11th Anugerah Juara Lagu and another two awards for Best Performance and Best Ballad. Her debut album as of 2005 has sold more than 800,000 units in Malaysia. She has recorded and sung in multiple languages, including Malaysian, Javanese, English, Arabic, Japanese, and Mandarin.

In the early 2010s, she released the song "Jangan Biarkan", covering Indonesian singer Diana Nasution. The television channel RCTI hosted the "Jangan Biarkan Concert" with her album "Titi to Diana". In the 2020s, she released the song Show Off Your Colors, in collaboration with Eka Gustiwana, Sarah Fajira, and Ashanty. Her latest release was the song "To Lose" as an answer to a netizen challenge, and she also released a ballad version called "Still Learning".

Ratu was an Indonesian music duo formed in 1999 with Maia Estianty, then the wife of musician Ahmad Dhani, on instruments and Pinkan Mambo on vocals. Ratu entered the Indonesian musical scene with their first album, Bersama. After a short break caused by Mambo's departure in 2004, the group formed anew with Mulan Kwok as vocalist. This new line-up proved more successful, with their most successful songs – "Teman Tapi Mesra" and "Lelaki Buaya Darat" ("Womaniser") – released in this period; both song titles later became common terms in the Indonesian vocabulary. The group's second studio album, No. Satu, sold 200,000 copies on the day of its release, a record for an album by an Indonesian female group. The group dissolved in 2007.

She was the winner of the A3 category at the 2017 Sanremo Junior children's international solo singing competition in Sanremo, Italy, and the winner of the tenth season of Indonesian Idol. In both competitions, Lyodra practiced the use of the whistle register, which is the highest range of the human voice. She was listed as the youngest Indonesian Idol champion at the age of 16 years and 256 days. She was awarded "Best Children Female Solo Artist" from the 20th Anugerah Musik Indonesia Awards, and "Best New Asian Artist in Indonesia" from the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Award. In addition, Lyodra was nominated for "Best Southeast Asian Act" at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards.
