Saharil Hasrin Sanin (born 21 October 1975 in Johor, Malaysia) is a Malaysian writer, visual artist and blogger. An alumnus of Sekolah Alam Shah in Cheras, he studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Cardiff and graduated in 1998.
His first short story was published in Dewan Siswa magazine in 1991, when he was in Form Four. Many of his short stories and articles have since been published in Malaysian Malay publications, including those by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. They have also won numerous awards.
His first two novels Luka Seribu Hati and Fashionista! were serialised in Wanita and EH! magazines respectively in 2006 and 2007. Several short stories were also in the book Lagi Cerpen-Cerpen Underground (2002) which were together with stories by Faisal Tehrani. [1] His 54-page essay Teroris Bahasa [2] was included in New Malaysian Essays 1 (Matahari Books, 2008).
His blog has received the "Blog Terhebat dan Terbaik" award from "Anugerah Geng Jurnal" in 2007. [3] It is updated daily (except Saturdays and Sundays) with a drawing, very short story, photograph, or illustrated anecdote.
His faux-naïf artwork are marked by elements of parody and black humour. They can be seen in his blog, but a series was also sold at The Annexe Gallery in Kuala Lumpur in 2008, [4] where it sold out on the first day.

Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, abbreviated DBP, is the government body responsible for coordinating the use of the Malay language and Malay-language literature in Malaysia.
Malaysian Malay, also known as Standard Malay, Bahasa Malaysia, or simply Malay, is a standardized form of the Malay language used in Malaysia and also used in Brunei and Singapore. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Utama Dr. Rais bin Yatim is a Malaysian politician who served as the 18th President of the Dewan Negara. He was a Cabinet Minister in multiple federal governments from 1974 to 2013 and the 8th Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan from 1978 to 1982. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Jelebu from November 1999 to May 2013.
Mohd Faizal Musa, also known under the pen name Faisal Tehrani, is a Malaysian author and playwright. Due to the frequent writing and ideas he was known as a controversial person. He is the author of many books and literary works of various lengths, including stage plays. National Laureate Anwar Ridwan praises of Faisal's writing "conscious of high literature and full of vision."
Abdul Samad bin Mohamed Said is a Malaysian novelist and poet. In May 1976, he was named by Malaysia literature communities and many of the country's linguists as the Pejuang Sastera [Literary Exponent] receiving, within the following decade, the 1979 Southeast Asia Write Award and, in 1986, in appreciation of his continuous writings and contributions to the nation's literary heritage, or Kesusasteraan Melayu, the title Sasterawan Negara or National Leaurate.
The Writers' Movement '50, better known as Asas '50, is the first and oldest literary association in post-war Malaysia. It was founded on 6 August 1950, with a stated philosophy of "Art for Society".

Khadijah Hashim is a Malaysian writer, teacher and journalist. She has worked as a teacher and also as a journalist with local newspapers Utusan Melayu (1974–1976) and Berita Harian (1976–1985). Khadijah continues her interests in writing rhymes, which led to her latest creation of "Putera-puteri Malaysia".

He authored a variety of literary works such as Novels and short stories. He also received numerous awards including the Southeast Asian Writers Award in 2013.
Anis Sabirin, also known as Anis Sabirin Ramzi, is a Malaysian writer of fiction and nonfiction, known for her feminist writings in the 1960s.
Zaharah Nawawi was a Malaysian novelist, journalist and editor. She won the S.E.A. Write Award in 1996 for her novel Anugerah.

In addition to receiving numerous literary honours, his works—which are primarily realistic but also include fresh historiography—showcase aspects of Brunei society.
