She starred in several films including Peranmai (2009), [3] Maanja Velu (2010) [4] and Nil Gavani Sellathey (2010). [5] Regarding her role in Nil Gavani Sellathey, a reviewer stated that "Among the relatively fresh cast, only Dhansika (Maanja Velu, Peraanmai) makes an impression". [5] She starred as the heroine in Aravaan (2012) and Paradesi . [6] [7] She garnered acclaim for her performance in the latter with a critic noting that "Dhansikaa is as good as ever". [7] [8] Her next film Ya Ya released to negative reviews. [9] Thiranthidu Seese (2015) released to positive reviews with a critic stating that "A ravishing Dhanshika plays Charmi with elan". [10] She also garnered recognition for her portrayal of Rajinikanth's daughter in Kabali (2016) with a critic noting that "Watching Yogi (Dhansikaa) is a delight, given her stylish makeover and ease in fight sequence". Atharvaa Murali is an Indian actor who works in Tamil cinema. The son of actor Murali and grandson of director S. Siddalingaiah, Atharvaa began his acting career with Baana Kaathadi (2010). He then garnered critical acclaim for his performance as a youngster suffering from delusion in the romantic thriller Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012), before signing on to feature in Bala's period film Paradesi (2013). His role as a rural villager held as a slave in a tea plantation became his breakthrough performance, earning Atharvaa a Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Tamil.

Nil Gavani Sellathey is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written, directed and produced by Anand Chakravarthy, which stars himself in lead role alongside Jagan, Lakshmi Nair, Dhansika, Adithyaa Dev and Ramsyy in the lead roles. The film, which is inspired by The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, released on 17 December 2010 with favorable reviews from the critics. It failed to succeed at the box office and was re-released on 25 March 2011 to mixed reviews. The film was dubbed in Telugu as 143 Hyderabad.

Paradesi (transl. Vagabond) is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language period drama film written and directed by Bala starring Atharvaa, Vedhika and Dhansika. The film's music was scored by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film was based on novel Eriyum Panikadu, Tamil translation of the 1969 English novel Red Tea by Paul Harris Daniel and inspired from real life incidents that took place before independence in the 1930s. It was released on 15 March 2013. The dubbed version of Telugu was released with the same name. The film opened to highly positive reviews with critics mainly praising the performances of the cast and the direction of Bala. The movie was an average grosser at the box office
