She starred in several films including Peranmai (2009), [3] Maanja Velu (2010) [4] and Nil Gavani Sellathey (2010). [5] Regarding her role in Nil Gavani Sellathey, a reviewer stated that "Among the relatively fresh cast, only Dhansika (Maanja Velu, Peraanmai) makes an impression". [5] She starred as the heroine in Aravaan (2012) and Paradesi . [6] [7] She garnered acclaim for her performance in the latter with a critic noting that "Dhansikaa is as good as ever". [7] [8] Her next film Ya Ya released to negative reviews. [9] Thiranthidu Seese (2015) released to positive reviews with a critic stating that "A ravishing Dhanshika plays Charmi with elan". [10] She also garnered recognition for her portrayal of Rajinikanth's daughter in Kabali (2016) with a critic noting that "Watching Yogi (Dhansikaa) is a delight, given her stylish makeover and ease in fight sequence". Nil Gavani Sellathey is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written, directed and produced by Anand Chakravarthy, which stars himself in lead role alongside Jagan, Lakshmi Nair, Dhansika, Adithyaa Dev and Ramsyy in the lead roles. The film, which is inspired by The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, released on 17 December 2010 with favorable reviews from the critics. Paradesi (transl. Vagabond) is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language period drama film written and directed by Bala starring Atharvaa, Vedhika, and Dhansika. The film's music was scored by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film was based on the novel Eriyum Panikadu, a Tamil translation of the 1969 English novel Red Tea by Paul Harris Daniel and inspired by real-life incidents that took place before independence in the 1930s. It was released on 15 March 2013. The dubbed version of Telugu was released under the same name. The film opened to highly positive reviews with critics mainly praising the performances of the cast and the direction of Bala. The movie was an average grosser at the box office

The film was also dubbed in Telugu and Malayalam with the same title and in Tamil language as Uchakattam. The film is produced by Devaraj under the banner D Creations and is touted to be a suspense thriller. The film features a multi-lingual ensemble cast of Thakur Anoop Singh, Sai Dhansika, Harsihka Poonacha, Kishore, Dr Kingmoohan, Tanya Hope, Kabir Duhan Singh, Prabhakar, and Shraddha Das in the lead roles.
