Florida State University is a public research university in Tallahassee,Florida. It is a senior member of the State University System of Florida. Founded in 1851,it is located on the oldest continuous site of higher education in the state of Florida.

Sally Kornbluth is a cell biologist and the James B. Duke Professor of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University School of Medicine. In 2014,after a national search,she was selected as Provost of Duke University,the first woman to serve in this role. As Provost,she has overseen a leadership transition in which female Deans have become a majority at Duke. Kornbluth also serves as the chair of the Duke Kunshan University Board of Trustees.

His appointment is effective July 1. Irma Becerra-Fernandez is a Cuban-American higher education leader and the seventh president of Marymount University in Arlington,Virginia. She has held this role since July 1,2018. Prior to her current post,she was the Provost and Chief Academic Officer at St. Thomas University,a nonprofit,private university located in Miami,Florida.
Miguel Martinez-Saenz is an American academic administrator and philosopher who currently serves as the 19th President of St. Francis College. Prior to becoming the President of St. Francis,Martinez-Saenz served as Provost and Vice-President of academic affairs at Otterbein University.
Sheri Everts is an American academic and educator serving as the chancellor of Appalachian State University in North Carolina.
Nancy Helen Marcus was an American biologist and oceanographer. During her graduate studies,Marcus became known as an expert on copepod ecology and evolutionary biology. She began her career as a postdoctoral fellow at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution where she studied copepod dormancy and its implications for marine aquaculture. She continued her field research as a professor of oceanography and later as the director of the Florida State University Marine Laboratory (FSU). During this time Marcus was elected as a Fellow of the Association for Women in Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science and served as the President of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography. As the president,she led efforts in increase education activities and to increase the endowment fund.
Pamela R. Jeffries is an American professor of nursing and serves as dean of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. She is nationally recognized as an expert in nursing,with a focus on simulation and education.
Stacia L. Haynie is an American political scientist. In 2018,Haynie was appointed Louisiana State University's executive vice president and provost.
