Any Way the Wind Blows is a 2003 Belgian film directed by Tom Barman, the lead singer of the Belgian rockband dEUS. The film is set in Antwerp and follows the lives of several characters intertwining with each other. Thanks to its rock music, jazz, pop and electronica music soundtrack, the film has become a cult film. The theme song Summer's Here by Magnus was a hit at the time.
Ex Drummer is a 2007 Belgian black comedy and rock music film directed and co-written by Koen Mortier, whose previous work was limited to television commercials. The Wild Boys is a 2017 French film directed by Bertrand Mandico. Set in the beginning of the 20th century on the island of La Réunion, it is about five adolescent boys from wealthy families who commit a brutal crime and are in turn taken in by a Dutch Captain for rehabilitation on his dilapidated sailboat, who sail for a tropical island on which they will secretly be changed into women. Notably, all the five male protagonists in the film were played by female actors.

Film director Thierry Michel presided the ceremony, while comedians Laurence Bibot, Dena, Ingrid Heiderscheidt, Achille Ridolfi and Bwanga Pilipili co-hosted the show.

The film is a co-production between Belgium and France.
