An autofocus (AF) optical system uses a sensor, a control system and a motor to focus on an automatically or manually selected point or area. An electronic rangefinder has a display instead of the motor; the adjustment of the optical system has to be done manually until indication. Autofocus methods are distinguished as active, passive or hybrid types.
The Samsung NX-mount is the lens mount used on NX series mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras by Samsung. The mount was first implemented in the Samsung NX10, and Samsung initially referred to the NX line as 'hybrid digital cameras', citing their combination of attributes of both DSLR and compact cameras.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 series is a high-end compact camera part of the wider Sony RX series. It started with the DSC-RX100, announced on 6 June 2012, and is part of the Cyber-shot RX line of digital cameras made by Sony. Seven annual generations have been released so far until 2019, all equipped with a one-inch 20-Megapixel image sensor and rotary knob around the lens. Filming at up to 1080p at 60fps is supported by the first three generations, the third additionally with 720p at 120fps, and up to 2160p (4K) at 30fps and 1080p at 120fps high frame rate video since the fourth.

The Sony α7R II is a full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera in the Sony α7 series of cameras. It was announced by Sony on 10 June 2015. At the time of its release, it had the largest backside illuminated CMOS sensor of any camera in the market, the previous largest being used in the Samsung NX1 released only months earlier. The camera was released 5 August 2015. Some of its most notable features are the 42 megapixels and the 399 on-sensor phase detection points.
The Sony α6300 is a mirrorless digital camera announced on 3 February 2016. The α6300 features a 24 megapixel Exmor sensor with a new 4D AF system with 425 phase detection autofocus points. The camera is powered by Sony's Bionz X image processor with an ISO range up to 51,200. Additionally, the α6300 can shoot images at up to 11 frames per second with continuous autofocus and exposure tracking. This model also introduced 4K recording for the first time in a non-full-frame Sony camera, with it sampling to 6K before being downsampled to 4K.
The Sony α7 III is a full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera manufactured by Sony. It was announced on 26 February 2018 as the successor to the Sony α7 II and available April 10, 2018. Described by Sony as "the basic model," the camera shares many features with the high-end Sony α7R III and α9 models. It was succeeded by the Sony α7 IV, announced on October 21, 2021.
The Nikon Z7 is a 45.7 megapixel full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera produced by Nikon. The camera was officially announced on August 23, 2018, for release in September 2018. It was the first camera to use Nikon's new Z-mount system; the second model, released in November 2018, was the 24.5 megapixel Nikon Z 6.
The Fujifilm X-T3 is a mirrorless interchangeable-lens digital camera announced on September 6, 2018. It is weather-resistant, has a backside-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 APS-C sensor and an X-Processor 4 quad core processor. It is the successor to 2016's Fujifilm X-T2. It uses the Fujifilm X-mount.
The Sony α6400 is a digital camera announced on January 15, 2019. It is an APS-C mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (MILC) designed to be a mid-range mirrorless camera and acts as the successor to the α6300. Intended to target the vlogging community, the α6400 features a flip-up screen and aggressive pricing. It features the same 24 megapixel sensor seen in the α6500. At the time of release, the two most capable cameras in the α6000 series of cameras were the α6400 and the α6500. The α6500 features in-body image stabilization and a larger image buffer, but the α6400 is arguably more advanced as the newer model. This is largely due to its increased processing power, real-time eye AF, and real-time tracking. These features, for example, can not be added to the α6300 via a firmware update, as it would be too demanding on the processor.
The Fujifilm X-S10 is a mid-range mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera announced on October 15, 2020. It has a backside-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 APS-C sensor, an X-Processor 4 quad core processor, In-Body Image Stabilization(IBIS) and uses the Fujifilm X-mount. The X-S10 is proposed as a hybrid camera aimed at still photographers, video shooters and vloggers, given its vlogger friendly features. It bears little relation to the Fujifilm X-S1 bridge camera released in 2011.
