Samurai Gourmet is a twelve-part 2017 Japanese-language television series on Netflix, based on Masayuki Kusumi's essay and the manga of the same title. The premise revolves around Takeshi Kasumi (Naoto Takenaka), told in a slice of life style. Now a retired salaryman, Kasumi discovers the joys of eating and drinking, which awakens his inner persona—a wandering samurai living freely in Japan's age of civil wars. [1] [2] [3]

Junko Nakajima, more commonly known by her stage name Mari Natsuki, is a Japanese singer, dancer and actress. Born in Tokyo, she started work as a singer from a young age. In 2007, Natsuki announced her engagement to percussionist Nobu Saitō, with their marriage taking place in Spring 2008.

The film stars Masanobu Andō in the title role and features a guest star appearance of Tomoyasu Hotei returning from the 1998 spin-off and virtual prequel Samurai Fiction. Food Luck is a 2020 Japanese drama film written and directed by Jimon Terakado of the comedy trio Dachou Club. The plot centers on Yoshito Sato, a freelance writer who was born into a family that ran a popular yakiniku restaurant and now embarks on a food journey to find the flavors of home, with young reporter Shizuka Takenaka.
