Secondary education in the United States is the last six or seven years of statutory formal education, including grade 6 or grade 7 through grade 12. It occurs in two phases. The first is the ISCED lower secondary phase, a middle school or junior high school for students grade 6 through grade 8. The second is the ISCED upper secondary phase, a high school or senior high school for students grade 9 through grade 12. There is some debate over the optimum age of transfer, and variation in some states; also, middle school often includes grades that are almost always considered primary school.
Victoria School (VS) is a government autonomous boys' secondary school in Siglap, Singapore. Established in 1876, it is Singapore's second oldest state secondary school. It offers a six-year Integrated Programme, which allows students to skip the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level examinations and proceed to Victoria Junior College for Years 5 and 6 and take the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examinations at the end of Year 6.
St. Joseph Secondary School, colloquially known as St. Joe's is a Catholic high school located in the Streetsville community of Mississauga, Ontario. The school is administered by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. St. Joseph Secondary School is one of few schools in the province of Ontario to offer Pre-Advanced Placement courses starting in grade 9 while most schools offer the option of Advanced Placement (AP) level classes in grade 12. Students who graduate in any course with an AP level exam completed will earn university level credits in said course. The school is also a provider of the Business and Transportation Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM), granting students who complete the major with a Ontario Secondary School Diploma including a recognized seal for employment opportunities after graduation.
Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School is a public secondary school located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Churchill Secondary is one of two International Baccalaureate schools and one of three French Immersion secondary schools in Vancouver. It is named after the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill. Churchill has the largest student body population in district 39 with about 2000 students in the campus.
North Delta is a largely middle-class commuter town situated in the Lower Mainland, of British Columbia, Canada. The community is the most populous of the three communities that make up the City of Delta. North Delta is home to numerous parks and recreational opportunities. Alongside North Delta is Burns Bog, the largest raised urban peat bog in North America. As well, Watershed Park provides walking and biking trails, home to many artesian aquifers. New Westminster Secondary School is a secondary school in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. It is one of the largest high schools in British Columbia. Enrollment of students is open to those within grades 9 through 12. The school is home to programs such as the International Baccalaureate program and a 1 year apprenticeship program. In 2007, the Fraser Institute ranked the school well within the top 50 secondary schools in British Columbia. This was out of the 279 public and private secondary schools operating in the province. The School is located in Metro Vancouver in BC's Lower Mainland region while the campus is centrally located within the region on the north side of the city of New Westminster. It encompasses an area of three city blocks by two city blocks.
École Secondaire South Kamloops Secondary School (SKSS), Home of the Titans, is a grade 8-12 school in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. It was formed in 1904 under the name Kamloops High School, and moved to its present campus in 1952. It gained the name South Kamloops Secondary School in 2003 through the merger of John Peterson Secondary School and Kamloops Secondary School, two secondary schools located adjacently on the same block.

Along with Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School, it was, until the beginning of the 2017/2018 school year, one of the subjects of a proposal by the school district to increase school hours to cope with the overpopulation.

Cowichan Secondary is a public high school in Duncan, British Columbia part of School District 79 Cowichan Valley, Opened in 1950. In 2013, the school became a dual-campus Grade 8-12 school after Quamichan Middle School on Beverley Street was merged with Cowichan Secondary on James Street. In September 2018, the Dual Campus model was dissolved and Cowichan Secondary School and Quamichan School returned to being two separate schools, leaving Cowichan Secondary as a grades 10-12 high school.
