Sandu Mitrofan (born 8 October 1952) is a Romanian bobsledder. He competed in the four man event at the 1980 Winter Olympics. [1]

Gheorghe Gușet was a Romanian shot putter. He competed at the 1992, 2000 and 2004 Olympics and had his best result in 2004, aged 36. Gușet was noted for being competitive in his late 30s, and set his all-time personal record aged 38, while most shot putters peak in their late 20s or early 30s. Due to health problems he was forced to retire from competitions in 2008. On 25 October 2008, a kidney transplantation was carried out successfully. Gușet died on 12 June 2017 in Cluj Napoca, Romania from an aortic dissection at the age of 49.
The Ivan Rogov class, Soviet designation Project 1174 Nosorog (Rhino), is a class of landing ships built in the Soviet Union. The ships were built as a part of expansion of the Soviet Navy's amphibious warfare capabilities in the 1970s.
Simona Arghir-Sandu was a Romanian handballer who played for the Romania national team. She also competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics, being part of the Romanian team which finished 4th and captained it.

The 1962 World Rowing Championships were the inaugural world championships in rowing. The competition was held in September 1962 on the Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland. Rowers from West Germany dominated the competition, winning five of the seven boat classes.

Im Dae-won is a retired amateur South Korean Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's featherweight category. He produced a remarkable tally of three career medals, including a silver in the 55-kg division at the 2003 World Wrestling Championships in Créteil, France, and also finished seventh at the 2004 Summer Olympics, representing his nation South Korea. Having worked as a full-time employee for Samsung Sports, Im trained throughout his sporting career as a member of its wrestling team under head coach Ahn Han-bong.
Aleksey Viktorovich Shevtsov is a retired amateur Russian Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's lightweight category. He represented Russia in two editions of the Olympic Games, and later capped off his wrestling career with a bronze medal in the 60-kg division at the 2005 European Championships in Varna, Bulgaria. Shevtsov also trained as a member of the wrestling team at the Moscow Academy of Combat Sports in Moscow, under his personal coach Yevgeny Peremishin.
