Sandy Lam is the debut album by the Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam. [1] It was released under CBS Records in 1985.
This album was produced to create the image of a Japanese idol. Seven of the ten tracks are covers of popular Japanese songs. The music was chiefly composed by Hong Kong singer Kwok Siu Lum, with lyrics by Calvin Poon. The lyrics are meant to reflect typical thoughts and expressions of a teenage girl. The music is done in the style of Akina Nakamori and Seiko Matsuda, making heavy use of guitar and drum machines to create rock-disco genre songs. Two of the songs (I Don't Know About Love and Red Lips) covered Seiko Matsuda.

Lam has a wide vocal range and is capable of interpreting and performing many different genres of music. He is heavily involved with planning and designing his concerts and his LP/CD covers. He was the one who came up with the first Cantopop rap, "Ah Lam's Diary", and he also pioneered the stringing together of multiple hit Cantopop songs to create a 10-minute long medley which is called "10 Minutes 12 Inches". This is the discography of Taiwanese Mandopop artist Show Lo. From 1996 to 1998, he was part of a quartet boy band Four Heavenly Kings (四大天王), releasing five albums. Then in 1998, after two members left, he formed a duo Romeo (羅密歐), with Ou Han Sheng ; the other member of Four Heavenly Kings, released two albums and was active till 2000. In 1982, the television station RTHK awarded one of her songs, "Feelings of a Passage" (感情的段落), later heard from her 1983 self-titled debut album, as one of top ten gold songs of 1981–82. In 1983, Lam sang a radio hit Cantonese rendition of the well-known Mandarin song "Into Your Eyes" (你的眼神), originally sung in 1981 by Tsai Chin, for her debut album. In 1984–85, another of her songs, "ngau yu" (偶遇), a theme song for the 1984 film A Certain Romance (少女日記), was awarded as one of top ten gold songs of 1983–84 by RTHK, the seventh place of the Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards by another station TVB, and the Hong Kong Film Award for the Best Movie Song (最佳電影歌曲) of 1984. Lam sang also "ouyu" (偶遇), a Mandarin version of "ngau yu", for the titled 1984 album. Since then, later singers have rendered both versions of "ngau yu", like Sammi Cheng and Zhou Xun.
