Sangeeta Puri (born 4 December 1979) is a former swimmer who competed for India in the Commonwealth Games and Trinidad and Tobago at the Olympic Games.

Sangeeta Puri (born 4 December 1979) is a former swimmer who competed for India in the Commonwealth Games and Trinidad and Tobago at the Olympic Games.
Puri represented Trinidad and Tobago in the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games and won a gold medal in the 100m backstroke and a silver medal in the 200m backstroke.[ citation needed ]
She competed in the 1994 Commonwealth Games in the 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly. [1]
Puri represented India at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in the 50m freestyle and finished 48th out of 55 swimmers with a time of 28.02. [2]
She attended Palisades Charter High School and set records in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke at the City Section swimming finals. [3] Puri then swam for Princeton. [4]

Virdhawal Vikram Khade is an Indian swimmer. He competed in the men's 50, 100, and 200 meters Freestyle swimming events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, setting an Indian national record in 100 meters Freestyle. He failed to qualify for the semifinals in his events despite winning his qualification heat. Khade won a bronze medal in the 50 meters butterfly event at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou; it was India's first Asian Games medal in swimming in 24 years. He was conferred with the Arjuna Award in 2011 by the Government of India.

A 100 metre butterfly event specialist, she is the 2020 Olympic champion, 2019 World (LC) champion, two-time World (SC) champion, 2022 Commonwealth champion, and 2023 Pan American champion. She holds the current Americas record (55.59s), the short course world record, the Commonwealth record, and Pan American record in the event.
