Sangita Patil is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, representing the Limbayat Assembly constituency. [1] She has been elected from the same constituency twice in 2012 and 2017. [2]
Patil is associated with the Bhartiya Janta Party. In 2012, Patil won the seat by defeating Congress' Suresh Sonavale by 30,321 votes. [3] She was again elected from the same constituency in 2017. [1]
Patil sought the imposition of 'Disturbed Areas Act' in her constituency which prevents the selling of property of one community member to another community member without prior permission of a collector. Besides this, from 2019 to 2022, he served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He was the President of BJP's Maharashtra state unit from 2013 to 2015. He became Chief Minister at the age of 44, making him the second-youngest in Maharashtra's history after Sharad Pawar.

Apart from government, political families also control cooperative institutions, mainly cooperative sugar factories, district cooperative banks in the state, and since the 1980s private for profit colleges. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also features several senior leaders who are dynasts. In Maharashtra, the NCP has particularly high level of dynasticism.
Ravindra Vishwanath Gaikwad is an Indian politician associated with Shiv Sena, and was a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India from 2014 to 2019 as a member of that party. He did not contest Lok Sabha elections in 2019. In 2014, he had contested from Osmanabad constituency of Maharashtra, and defeated sitting MP Padamsinha Bajirao Patil who contested from Nationalist Congress Party by 235,325 votes by obtaining 607,699 votes against 373,374. Before 2014, he was a two time MLA from omerga constituency. He has also been the Chairman of Killari Sugar Factory. He is a director on the agriculture board committee in the Central Government of India. His son Kiran Ravindra Gaikwad lost the Zilla parishad Osmanabad election from kunhali constituency. The loss to prakash Ashte was widely discussed in media.
Eknath Sambhaji Shinde is an Indian politician who is serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra since December 2024 alongside Ajit Pawar. He is the chairperson of Shiv Sena since February 2023 and was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from June 2022 to December 2024. He is also the Member of Legislative Assembly for the Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency of Thane, Maharashtra, since 2009 and was formerly the MLA of Thane constituency from 2004 to 2009.

He is currently the MLA from the Colaba Assembly constituency and also the current Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Narwekar was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Council in June 2016 as a Governor's Nominated member. He is the second-youngest person to be elected speaker of any state in the country, the youngest being Shivraj Patil. In May 2023, he completed a 4-day UK tour speaking at the Ideas for India Conference organised by Bridge India in London, and speaking with students at Cambridge University. His tour attracted media attention because of its proximity to the Supreme Court judgement on the disqualification of 16 MLAs of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. In November 2024 he was re-elected on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Colaba constituency and won by a huge margin.
