The National Democratic Alliance is a centre-right to right-wing conservative Indian political alliance led by the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded on 15 May 1998 and currently controls the government of India as well as the government of 19 Indian states and one Union territory.

He was also a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from 1987 to 1991, representing the Radaur Assembly constituency. He was born on 19 December 1951, and educated at Kurukshetra University.
