The 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election was held on 18 February for 59 of the state's 60 constituencies. The counting of votes took place on 3 March 2018. The 2022 Birbhum violence,also called the Birbhum massacre,happened on March 21,2022 in the village of Baktai in Rampurhat,Birbhum,India in the aftermath of the death of Trinamool deputy chief Bhadu Sheikh. At least four houses were set on fire. 10 people were reported killed.
