Janata Dal (United) abbreviated as JD(U) is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. JD(U) is recognised as a state party in the states of Bihar,Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur and is a part of government in Bihar. JD(U) heads the government in Bihar and has remained the second largest party in Manipur. JD(U) won 16 seats in the 2019 Indian general election,making it the seventh largest party in the Lok Sabha.

Anirudh Prasad Yadav,better known as Sadhu Yadav,is an Indian politician and founder of Garib Janta Dal (Secular). He has served in 14th Lok Sabha as MP of Gopalganj from 2004 to 2009 as Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate. Sadhu was MLA of Gopalganj assembly from 2000 to 2004.
Mohammad Shahabuddin was a politician and former Member of Parliament from the Siwan constituency in the state of Bihar. He was a former member of the National Executive Committee of the Janata Dal and the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Shahabuddin was disqualified from contesting elections following his conviction for the kidnapping and disappearance of Chote Lal Gupta,an activist of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation for which he was serving a life sentence. Rashtriya Lok Samta Party was a political party in India led by Upendra Kushwaha. It was launched on 3 March 2013 and was based in the state of Bihar. The party came into existence as a result of a feud between Nitish Kumar and Upendra Kushwaha,after which Kushwaha left The Nitish Kumar lead Janata Dal (United) and formed his own party. It has faced multiple rebellions and desertions since 2015. After the relations between Nitish and Kushwaha normalized,Upendra Kushwaha merged RLSP into JDU on March 14th 2021,with this,the party ceased to exit.
Jitan Ram Manjhi is an Indian politician from the eastern state of Bihar who served as its 23rd Chief Minister from 20 May 2014 to 20 February 2015. He is President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM). Previously,he had served as minister for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes welfare in Nitish Kumar's cabinet. He has been a minister in several Bihar state governments,under multiple chief ministers like Chandrashekhar Singh,Bindeshwari Dubey,Satyendra Narayan Sinha,Jagannath Mishra,Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.
Anant Kumar Singh is an Indian politician and an MLA from the Mokama assembly constituency of Bihar. A former member of the Janata Dal (United) party,he joined Rashtriya Janata Dal in 2020. According to his election affidavit of 2020,he is facing 38 criminal charges including 7 murders,11 attempt-to-murder and 4 cases of kidnapping.
Ritlal Yadav or Ritlal Ray is a leader of RJD who won the Bihar Legislative Council election in July 2015 as an independent candidate. Ritlal was in jail in connection with multiple criminal cases,including murder charges. Ritlal is accused in over 33 cases. He was a former MLC of Patna,the post to which he was elected in 2016. He was incarcerated in Beur Jail until August 2020. However he was then released from the jail on bail.
Dinesh Prasad Singh is an Indian politician from Janata Dal (United). He is the member of the Bihar Legislative Council from Muzaffarpur. His wife Veena Devi is a Member of Parliament from Vaishali lokasabha constituency of Bihar.
Mahagathbandhan (MGB),also known as Grand Alliance,is a coalition of political parties in the Eastern state of Bihar in India,formed ahead of the 2015 Vidhan Sabha elections in Bihar. The alliance consists of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD),Janata Dal (United),Indian National Congress (INC),and Left parties including Communist Party of India (CPI),Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation-CPIML (Liberation) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM),with Nitish Kumar as the leader and Tejashwi Yadav as the chairperson. It is the ruling coalition government in Bihar.

Vijendra Kumar Yadav is an Indian politician and a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly of India. He represented the Sandesh constituency in Bhojpur district of Bihar. He was elected in 2000 as a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) but later left the party to join JD(U).

Samrat Chaudhary is a politician and Member of Legislative Council from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has also remained Member of Legislative Assembly and a minister in Government of Bihar. Chaudhary has been a former Vice President of BJP for the state of Bihar and currently elected MLC in July 2020. He later joined BJP.
