Sanjiv Goenka (born 29 January 1961) [7] is an Indian Billionaire entrepreneur. [8] He is the founder and chairman of RPSG Group and an early-stage investor. With a US$6 billion asset base and US$4.3 billion revenue, this multinational conglomerate is headquartered in Kolkata. He also owns the IPL cricket team Lucknow Super Giants [9] and the ISL football team Mohun Bagan Super Giant. [10] As per the Forbes 2022 report, [11] he is the 83rd richest person in India and overall 1238th in the world. He was also a member of Padma award committee 2023.
Goenka was born to Sushila Devi Goenka and Rama Prasad Goenka a business man in a Marwari Family and raised in Kolkata.

Born in 1930, he was the eldest son of Keshav Prasad Goenka and grandson of Sir Badri Prasad Goenka, the first Indian to be appointed Chairman of the Imperial Bank of India. His two younger brothers were Jagdish Prasad and Gouri Prasad. On Keshav Prasad Goenka's death, his businesses were split between the three brothers. The principle team owner, Sanjeev Goenka, announced after winning the 2023 Indian Super League Final that ATK Mohun Bagan will be rebranded as Mohun Bagan Super Giant from this season.
