Saumitra Pote from Maharashtra Times opined, "In fact, the movie begins with mutual suspicion. So one might even feel this is an overdose of skepticism. But there is no problem watching the movie without much stress". [3] A critic of Loksatta wrote "Newlyweds think ten times before watching this movie! If you want to learn the lesson of 'Do not be suspicious' by watching the movie, then fine! Otherwise your world will not work". [4] jaykrishna from Prahaar stated "This is the doubt that creates doubt in the minds of the audience themselves that why should he have done such a hasty despite having a strong team. If you want to see the performance of your favorite actors and want to laugh out loud, then there is no problem watching it once". [5]

Katyar Kaljat Ghusali is a 2015 Indian Marathi-language epic musical drama film based on a play by the same name. Directed by Subodh Bhave, the film stars Sachin Pilgaonkar, Shankar Mahadevan, and Subodh Bhave in lead roles. The film marks the directorial debut for Bhave, and the theatrical acting debut for Shankar Mahadevan. The original play, written by Purushottam Darvhekar, premiered in 1967 in Mumbai, where Hindustani classical vocalist Vasantrao Deshpande played one of the protagonists. In 2010, the play was relaunched with protagonists essayed by Rahul Deshpande, grandson of Vasantrao Deshpande and singer Mahesh Kale. Vanshvel is a 2013 Marathi language film directed by Rajiv Patil, produced by Sunil Mankar. The film starring Ankush Chaudhari, Kishor Kadam, Namrata Gaikwad, Sushant Shelar, Shantanu Gangane, Manisha Kelkar and Vidya Karanjikar. The film was released on 18 October 2013.
