Santhosh P. Jayakumar is an Indian film director who works in Tamil and Telugu-language films.

Career

Santhosh made his directorial debut with Gaddam Gang , the Telugu remake of the Tamil film Soodhu Kavvum (2013). [1] He made his Tamil debut with Hara Hara Mahadevaki (2017) starring Gautham Karthik. [2] Santhosh Jayakumar directed the privacy art Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu (2018) with Gautham Karthik again. The success of the film prompted him to direct the Telugu remake Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu (2019) and begin production on a sequel titled Irandam Kuththu starring himself. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] In 2018, he briefly began working on a film titled Theemai Dhaan Vellum with Gautham Karthik, but the film was later dropped. [7]

His upcoming film includes a thriller Pulanaivu with Arvind Swami. [8] [9]

Ye Maaya Chesave is the soundtrack album of the 2010 Telugu romantic drama film of the same name, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The original score and songs were composed by A. R. Rahman; Lyrics are penned by Anantha Sreeram, along with Kalyani Menon and Kaithapram, the latter penning the Malayalam lyrics in the album. This is the sixth time that A. R. Rahman composed music for a direct Telugu film and the fourth time that he composed the entire soundtrack for a Telugu film. This also marked Rahman's comeback into Telugu cinema after six years. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman with editing by Praveen K. L. and cinematography by Farook J. Basha.
