Saqib Sumeer is a Pakistani actor, director and writer who performs mostly in theatre and also works in television and films.

Early life

Originally from Bahawalpur, in Pakistan's Punjab province, Saqib moved to Karachi to study acting at NAPA, where for 3 years his mentor was veteran actor Zia Mohyeddin, but he was unable to make a name in dramas because he wasn’t considered "handsome enough", so he concentrated on scriptwriting and theatre, endorsing mainly comic roles in Shah Sharabeel’s plays. Making his TV acting debut in 2011, Saqib is known for his roles such as Dilawar in Khuda Aur Muhabbat (season 3) and Rafique Ali in Raqeeb Se . [2] [3]

He made his cinematic debut in 2017 with Yasir Nawaz's Mehrunisa V Lub U . [4]

Director

Saqib has directed plays including Hatim Tai in 2019, that he also co-wrote and where he played the leading role of Hatim al-Tai. [5]

The Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park is a photovoltaic power station in Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan, named in honor of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan. It is a 400 MW solar facility spanning an area of 8 km2 and hosting 1.6 million solar modules. The initial phase of the project was constructed by the Government of Punjab through a 100% owned subsidiary QA Solar in May 2015 at a cost of $131 million. He received Lux Style Award nomination as a Best TV Director for Dil Mom Ka Diya.
