Yasir Nawaz Baloch is a Pakistani director, producer, screenwriter, actor and former model.

Mainly known as a television actor, he has also directed movies such as Wrong No. (2015), Mehrunisa V Lub U (2017) and Wrong No. 2 (2019). [2]

Early and personal life

Yasir was born to Fareed Nawaz Baloch, an actor who had more than 100 TV plays to his credit and also performed in two films, in a family of four children. [3]

He is a Sindhi-Baloch by ethnicity but identifies as a Sindhi in terms of culture. [4]

He is the elder brother of fellow actor-director and comedian Danish Nawaz. [5]

He married Nida Yasir (born Pasha), a producer, actress and host, in 2002 and they have three children together. [6]

Career

Baloch started his career as an actor and model. Later he started direction and production of television dramas. [7]

Wrong No. is a 2015 Pakistani romantic comedy film directed by Yasir Nawaz and co-produced by Yasir Nawaz, Nida Yasir and Hassan Zia under the production banner YNH Films. It is the first installment in the Wrong No. film series. The film features Javed Sheikh, Danish Taimoor, Nadeem Jaffri, Danish Nawaz, Shafqat Cheema, Sohai Ali Abro and Janita Asma in lead roles.

<i>Chakkar</i> (film) 2021 film directed by Yasir Nawaz

Chakkar is a 2022 Pakistani murder mystery film directed by Yasir Nawaz produced by Nida Yasir under the banner of Farid Nawaz Productions. It stars Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer with Yasir Nawaz and Jawed Sheikh in supporting roles. The film is released on Eid al-Fitr 3 May 2022 with negative reviews from critics towards its storyline, performance and direction. The film was declared a box office bomb.
