2023

Matsui first entered the international stage of karting at the end of 2023, as she contested the final round of the Karting Academy Program in the UAE. She finished the event in 7th, placing her in 8th place in the overall standings in the newly formed OK-NJ category. [4] [5]

2024

Matsui embarked on a full European campaign in 2024, upon her arrival at Williams. First she drove in the WSK Champions Cup, where she finished 6th in her first competitive European race. [6] Matsui then joined the WSK Super Master Series, and achieved a result of 2nd place on her debut in the championship. This ultimately counted for little in the championship as inconsistency led her to a 10th placed finish in the standings. [7]

Formula One

Matsui was a finalist for the Junior category of the 2022 Girls on Track - Rising Stars program. [8] In early 2024, Matsui was signed by the Williams Driver Academy, alongside FRECA driver Alessandro Giusti. [9] [10]
