Sarah Lewis OBE (born 29 November 1964 in London) is a British former alpine skier who competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics. [1] She was the Secretary General of FIS for 20 years until she was removed in October 2020. [2]

She was awarded the Femme en or prize in 2006, and OBE in 2018, for heading up the largest Winter Sports International Governing Body. [3]

Vanessa-Mae also called Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson, is a Singaporean violinist with album sales reaching several million, having made her the wealthiest entertainer under 30 in the United Kingdom in 2006. Raisa Smetanina

Raisa Petrovna Smetanina is a Soviet and Russian cross-country skiing champion. She is the first woman in history to win ten Winter Olympic medals.

Galina Kulakova Soviet cross-country skier

Galina Alexeyevna Kulakova is a Soviet former cross-country skier, arguably the best skier on distances shorter than 10 km in the early 1970s. She won four Olympic golds, two individual in 1972 and two relay golds in 1972 and 1976. She was the most successful athlete at the 1972 Winter Olympics, along with Ard Schenk of the Netherlands. Competing in the World Championships, she won three individual golds, two in 1974 and one in 1970, and also two relay golds in those years. Kulakova also won the 10 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1970 and 1979. Galina Kulakova was also 39 times Champion of the USSR between 1969 and 1981.

Sarah Schleper, also known as Sarah Schleper de Gaxiola, is an-American alpine skier with dual Mexican citizenship via her marriage to a Mexican citizen, whose career started in 1995.

Doris de Agostini-Rossetti was a Swiss alpine skier, bronze-medalist in the Alpine World Ski Championships 1978 and winner of the 1982/1983 Downhill World Cup. She also competed at the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1980 Winter Olympics.

She is the first woman to design her own pro-model freestyle ski with the female owned ski company Coalition Snow.

Marielle Thompson is a Canadian freestyle skier specializing in ski cross. She is the 2014 Winter Olympic and 2019 World champion in women's ski cross, as well as a three-time FIS World Cup Crystal Globe winner as the top-ranked athlete in that discipline and the 2013 Junior World champion.

Great Britain, represented by the British Olympic Association (BOA), competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, from 7 to 23 February 2014. The British team was made up of athletes from the whole United Kingdom including Northern Ireland, whose athletes may have elected to hold Irish citizenship, allowing them to represent either Great Britain or Ireland. Additionally some British overseas territories competed separately from Britain in Olympic competition. A total of 56 athletes competed in 11 sports making it the biggest contingent that Great Britain had sent to a Winter Olympic Games for twenty-six years.

Thailand competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 23 February 2014. The Thai team consisted of two athletes, Vanessa Vanakorn and Kanes Sucharitakul, both competing in alpine skiing. This was Thailand's third appearance at a Winter Olympic Games, and their first since 2006, having missed the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Ester Ledecká Czech snowboarder and skier (born 1995)

Ester Ledecká is a Czech snowboarder and alpine skier. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Ledecká won gold medals in the super-G in alpine skiing and in the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding, becoming the first person to win two gold medals at the same Winter Olympics using two different types of equipment. She was the second woman to win Olympic gold in two separate disciplines but the first to do so at the same Winter Olympics. She was the first Czech to win the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding at the FIS Snowboard World Cup.

Coraline Hugue, also known as Coraline Thomas Hugue, is a French former cross-country skier. She competed for France at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in skiathlon and women's classical. She also competed for France at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Sarah Konrad is an American former biathlete. She competed in two events at the 2006 Winter Olympics. She also competed in the cross-country skiing at the same Olympics. Konrad was the first woman to represent the United States in two different sports at the same Winter Olympic Games. Since retiring, Konrad has served as a representative for the Athletes Advisory Council of the United States Olympic Committee and the United States Biathlon Association for the International Competition Committee.
