Mayabazar is a 1957 Indian epic Hindu mythological film directed by K. V. Reddy. It was produced by Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani under their banner, Vijaya Productions. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, with a few differences in the cast. The story is an adaptation of the folk tale Sasirekha Parinayam, which is based on the characters of the epic Mahabharata. It revolves around the roles of Krishna and Ghatotkacha, as they try to reunite Arjuna's son Abhimanyu with his love, Balarama's daughter (Savitri). The Telugu version features Gummadi, Mukkamala, Ramana Reddy, and Relangi in supporting roles, with D. Balasubramaniam, R. Balasubramaniam, V. M. Ezhumalai, and K. A. Thangavelu playing those parts in the Tamil version.
Padosan (transl. Neighbour) is a 1968 Indian Hindi-language musical comedy film directed by Jyoti Swaroop and produced by Mehmood, N. C. Sippy and written by Rajendra Krishan. It is a remake of the Bengali-language film Pasher Bari (1952) based on a short story of the same name by Arun Chowdhury starring Bhanu Bandyopadhyay and Sabitri Chatterjee. The film stars Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu. Kishore Kumar, Mukri, Raj Kishore and Keshto Mukherjee played the supporting roles. Mehmood as the South Indian musician and rival to Sunil Dutt is among the highlights of the film. Indiatimes Movies ranked the film amongst the "Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films". Music was composed by R. D. Burman. Kumar sang for himself while Manna Dey sang for Mehmood. Many of the scenes were shot in Brindavan Gardens located near the city of Mysore.
Raavoyi Chandamama is a 1999 Indian Telugu-language romance film directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee. It stars Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu, Anjala Zhaveri, Keerthi Reddy, and the music was composed by Mani Sharma. The film was produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The film's title is based on a song from Missamma (1955). Raavoyi Chandamama was not commercially successful.
De Taali is a 2008 Indian comedy film. It stars Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Ayesha Takia and Rimi Sen in the main roles. The movie is a remake of the 2001 film Saving Silverman. It is directed by Eeshwar Nivas and produced by Ravi Walia. The film revolves around three childhood friends Abhi, Amu and Paglu who have grown together and when Karthika comes in their life, the whole dynamics of their friendship changes. The film was initially titled Jalsa. De Taali was released on 20 June 2008.
Ninaithen Vandhai is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by K. Selva Bharathy and produced by Allu Aravind. The film stars Vijay, Rambha and Devayani, with Charle, Ranjith, Senthil, and Vinu Chakravarthy in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 1996 Telugu film Pelli Sandadi. The music was composed by Deva. It released on 10 April 1998 to positive reviews and became a commercial success.
Sasirekha Parinayam is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced by Sunkara Madhumurali. The film stars Tarun and Genelia. It was one of the average grossers in Tharun's career. The film has been dubbed in Hindi as Bhagam Bhag Love and into Tamil as Sasirekhavin Kalyanam.
