Sathyaraj Natarajan is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil language films. He was an assistant to Praveen K. L., and has often collaborated in ventures involving director Sai Gokul and won critical acclaimed films for Vidiyum Munn (2013) and Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013).

Career

Natarajan worked as an assistant to Praveen K. L. in the production of Aaranya Kaandam (2011), [1] and edited the unreleased horror film Shivani directed by Sai Gokul. He worked simultaneously on two projects, Vidiyum Munn (2013), a thriller, and Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013), a romantic comedy; Behindwoods.com presented him the Best Editor Award. [2] [3]

He continued his collaboration with Sai Gokul in Vaaliba Raja (2016) and the Anirudh musical Rum (2017). [4] He worked on Thiagarajan Kumararaja's project, Super Deluxe (2019) starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha for which he won the Zee Cine Award Tamil for Best Editor. [5] He is the editor for Andhaghaaram, written and directed by V Vignarajan. [6]

In 2014, he directed Mohanlal in a Malayalam political satire film, Peruchazhi.

The Vijay for Best Costume Designer is given by STAR Vijay as part of its annual Vijay Awards ceremony for Tamil (Kollywood) films.

Kalyana Samayal Saadham, also known by the initialism KSS, is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by R. S. Prasanna. It stars Prasanna and Lekha Washington, while Crazy Mohan, Delhi Ganesh, Uma appear in supporting roles. Produced by Ananth Govindan and Arun Vaidyanathan under the Everest Entertainment banner, it was distributed by Abinesh Elangovan's Abi TCS Studios, C. V. The film stars Pooja Umashankar as Rekha, a prostitute trying to rescue a 12-year-old girl, played by Malavika Manikuttan, from the clutches of prostitution. The music was composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan. Vidiyum Munn was the fifth Indian film to be released in Auro 3D 11.1 surround sound system. The film was released by PVR Pictures on 29 November 2013 to critical acclaim but average gross at the box office. The movie was reported to be inspired by the 2006 British movie London to Brighton.
