Lieutenant General Satish Dua, PVSM, UYSM, SM, VSM is a retired General Officer of Indian Army. [1] He served as Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) of the Indian Armed Forces and the Former 15 Corps (XV Corps) in Kashmir. The General Officer was the Kashmir Corps Commander during the 'surgical strike' in September 2016. He was the Colonel of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment.
Dua has attended Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow; Defence Services Staff College, Wellington; and National Defence College, Delhi.[ citation needed ]
Dua was commissioned into 8 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (Siachen) in December 1979.[ citation needed ] He has held various command, staff and Instructor appointments during his career. He has commanded a battalion and a brigade in counter terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir and the XV Corps (Srinagar) (2015-2016).[ citation needed ] As a Major General in Assam Rifles he was involved in raising a new formation termed IGAR (East) in Northeast India.[ citation needed ] He has held various staff appointments including Colonel MS (Complaints) in Military Secretary Branch; Brigade Major of Kargil Brigade; Brigadier General Staff (Operations) of XVI Corps (Nagrota); Deputy Director General in Weapon Equipment Directorate; Additional Director General (Procurement) in Master General of Ordnance Branch. He has also served as a commando instructor and a Defence Attaché to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos (2005-2008). [2] [3] [4] [5] He was Colonel of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment.
Lieutenant General Satish Dua was the founding Member Secretary of Defence Planning Committee.
As member of Defence Acquisition Council, he played a pivotal role in force modernisation & inter se prioritisation between Army, Navy & Air Force. He worked actively in the field of Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief. As a member of National Crisis Management Group, coordinated the efforts of Army, Navy & Air Force in National Crises & Disaster situations.

During his career, he has been awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal (2017) and Param Vishisht Seva Medal (2018) for his service. [6] [7]
After retirement, General Dua has authored a book titled 'India’s Bravehearts'. This book tells first hand experiences and gripping stories of death-defying operations and daring surgical strikes, the intense training soldiers have to undergo to become battle-fit, what life is really like on the LoC and the lives of the young men who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Lieutenant General Om Prakash, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM is a retired General of the Indian Army. He was the commander of the XV Corps in 2012.
Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, ADC is a retired general officer of the Indian Army who served as 39th Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS). He assumed office on 1 June 2018 following the retirement of Lieutenant General Sarath Chand, and retired on 31 August 2019. He also served as General Officer-Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command from 1 December 2016 to 31 May 2018, prior to that commanding Northern Command, he had commanded IV Corps in the North East.

He assumed the post after Lt General Rajan Bakshi retired and was succeeded by Lt General Abhay Krishna.

General Manoj Mukund Naravane, is a retired Indian Army General who served as the 28th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), as well as the temporary Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee from 15 December 2021 until his superannuation on 30 April 2022. He took over as COAS from General Bipin Rawat on 31 December 2019. Lieutenant General Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM was the Military Secretary of the Indian Army and assumed office on 01 February 2018. He was the 46th Commander, XV Corps of the Indian Army and was in office from 1 November 2016 to 31 January 2018. He assumed the post from Lt General Satish Dua and was succeeded by Lt General Anil Kumar Bhatt.
Lieutenant General Rajendra Ramrao Nimbhorkar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM**, VSM is a former officer of the Indian Army who served as the Master General Ordnance (MGO). He assumed office on 9 August 2017 after Lieutenant General Ravi Thodge retired. He was part of one of the strike corp which was responsible for carrying out three strikes inside POK in Surgical Strikes held in 2016 by the Indian Army to clean out all the Pakistani Terrorists Camps. As surgical strikes were carried out very secretly to maintain surprise, so very few people knew of them, one of those involved was Lt. Gen. Nimbhorkar.

Lieutenant General Anil Kumar Bhatt, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM was the Military Secretary of the Indian Army. Prior to this, he served as the 47th Commander, XV Corps of the Indian Army between 1 February 2018 and 7 February 2019. Prior to this he was the Director General of Military operations for one year including during the Doklam crisis in 2017. During his tenure as Corps Commander maximum terrorists were neutralized in comparison to the last one decade.
Lieutenant General Gurpal Singh Sangha, AVSM, SM, VSM is a former Chief of Staff Western Command of the Indian Army and assumed office on 30 December 2018. He assumed the post from Lt General Amarjeet Singh Bedi. He retired from his position on July 31, 2020.

He also served as General Officer Commanding IV Corps, before assuming the appointment as commander of Gajraj Corps he was serving as the Chief of Staff, Southern Command.
