Satish Parasmal Jain (18 August 1968) is a former candidate from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) who was contesting from the North Mumbai (Mumbai North) constituency in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, which he lost getting 32,364 votes. [1] Prior to trying himself in politics he worked as a portfolio manager for HDFC Mutual Fund and as an Executive Director for Morgan Stanley. Satish Jain gained media attention after exposing the Rs 22,000 crore (INR 22 billion) electricity scam in Maharashtra. [2] [3]

Satish Jain is married to Meenal Jain, who studied engineering and is an artist by profession. The couple have two children, Dhwanit and Kartika. Satish practices Raja Yoga meditation. [4]

Entry into Politics

On 13 March 2014 Satish Jain was nominated as a candidate for Aam Aadmi Party in the North Mumbai constituency. Other candidates of AAP are Mayank Gandhi (North-West Mumbai), Meera Sanyal (South Mumbai), Medha Patkar (North-East Mumbai).

Aam Aadmi Party is an Indian political party formally launched on 26 November 2012; it is currently the ruling party of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It came into existence following differences between activists Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare regarding whether or not to politicise the popular India Against Corruption movement that had been demanding a Jan Lokpal Bill since 2011. Hazare preferred that the movement should remain politically unaligned, while Kejriwal felt the failure of the agitation route necessitated direct political involvement.

Anjali Anish Damania is an Indian anti-corruption activist and politician. She was the convener of Maharashtra state unit of Aam Admi Party (AAP). During 2011–12, she exposed corruption in the Kondhane dam project through RTI queries. She came into the limelight in 2012, after she accused the Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Gadkari of having a business partnership with the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar. He worked in the capacity of a financial advisor. His appointment was retroactively terminated by Union Minister of Home Affairs in April, 2018.

Preeti Sharma Menon or प्रीति शर्मा मेनन is a National Executive Member and spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party. She joined the India Against Corruption movement in 2011.
