Ecuador is divided into 24 provinces. The provinces of Ecuador and their capitals are:
La Unión is a department of El Salvador. It is located in the eastern part of the country and its capital is La Unión. It covers a total of 2,074 km² and has a population of 263,200. The department was created on June 22, 1865 and the city of La Unión was made its capital. The Conchagua Temple was built in 1693 and it is one of tourist attractions of the department, as well as containing archeological ruins in Intipucá and Meanguera.
León is a department in Nicaragua. It covers an area of 5,107 km² and has a population of 389,600. The capital is the city of León.
Sibut, formerly Fort Sibut is the capital of Kémo, one of the 14 prefectures of the Central African Republic. An important transport hub, it is situated 188 km (117 mi) north of the capital Bangui and is known for its market.
The Gulf of Tunis is a large Mediterranean bay in north-eastern Tunisia, extending for 39 miles (63 km) from Cape Farina in the west to Cape Bon in the east. Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia, lies at the south-western edge of the Gulf, as have a series of settled places over the last three millennia. Djebel Ressas rises to 795 metres (2,608 ft) around 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of the southern edge of the Gulf.
