Sauda Kauma is Uganda politician and a representative member of parliament for Iganga District in the eleventh parliament of Uganda. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] She is affiliated to the National Resistance Movement [3] [6] [2] [7]

Political career

Sauda sits on the Committee on Rules, Privileges and Discipline in the eleventh parliament of Uganda [8] which is chaired by Hon. Abdu Katuntu

Other works

Sauda donated Personal Protective Equipments and gas cylinders other to Health workers in Iganga District during the fight against COVID-19 in 2021. [4] She also requested the Government of the republic of Uganda to elevate Iganga general hospital to a referral Hospital Status. [5]

Sauda has always talked against domestic violence in Iganga District. [2] She also requested the president of Uganda Yoweri kaguta Museveni to set up a sugarcane Processing factory in Iganga District to help out the farmers of the Busoga Sub-region and that the president should set up a special fund to help bailing out framers who have gotten loans from the banks amidst the prices of Sugarcanes that were dropping. [7] [9]

Ruhakana Rugunda Physician and politician

Ruhakana Rugunda is a Ugandan physician and politician who had been Prime Minister of Uganda from 2014 to 2021. He held a long series of cabinet posts under President Yoweri Museveni beginning in 1986. He served as Uganda's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1994 to 1996 and as Minister of Internal Affairs from 2003 to 2009. Subsequently, he was Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2009 to 2011 and Minister of Health from 2013 to 2014.

Jenipher Kacha Namuyangu, also Jennifer Namuyangu Byakatonda, but commonly referred to as Jennifer Namuyangu, is a Ugandan politician and environmentalist. She belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party. She is the Minister of State for Local Government in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. She previously served as the Minister of State for Water Resources, from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the Cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011, she was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Betty Bigombe. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Pallisa District Women's Representative, from 2001 until 2011. In 2010, Pallisa District was split into two, to create Kibuku District. Namuyangu contested for the parliamentary seat of Kibuku County, Kibuku District. She lost to Saleh Kamba by a wide margin.

Frank Kagyigyi Tumwebaze is a Ugandan educator and politician of the National Resistance Movement political party. He is the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, effective 8 June 2021.

Joshua Wanume Kibedi was an Ugandan lawyer, politician and diplomat, who served as the Foreign Minister between January 1971 and January 1973 during the early years of the regime of Idi Amin. However, Kibedi resigned as Foreign Minister in 1973 after the murder of his uncle, Shaban Nkutu, by Amin. Kibedi went into exile and became a leading critic of Idi Amin's dictatorship. He would later serve as Uganda's Ambassador to the United Nations from 1986 to 1988.

Mariam Naigaga is a Ugandan banker, statistician and politician. She is the elected Woman Representative for Namutumba District in the 10th Parliament and is a member of NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. She serves on the special Presidential Advisory Committee on Budget (PACOB) and is a member of the Budget Committee and the Committee on Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Parliament.

Engunyu Janepher Nantume is a Ugandan politician, legislator and a social worker by profession. She represents the people of Buvuma Islands county in the parliament of Uganda. She is a member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, the party in political leadership in Uganda under the chairmanship of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni president of the republic of Uganda.

Brenda Namukuta is Ugandan politician, legislator and women representative member of parliament for Kaliro District in the eleventh Parliament of Uganda. She is affliated to the National Resistance Movement (NRM)

Mugisha Muhanga Margaret also known as Muhanga Margaret is a female Ugandan politician. She is also the State Minister for Primary Healthcare appointed by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2021, Rotarian, journalist, development consultant and a businesswoman. Margaret was the Woman Member of Parliament of Kabarole District in the eighth and the Burahya County MP Kabarole District in the tenth parliament of Uganda. She later joined as the Woman Member of Parliament of Kabarole District of North Division Fort Portal City in the eleventh Parliament of Uganda under the National Resistance Movement political party.

Jacinta Atuto is a Ugandan politician who serves as a member of parliament for Kapelebyong District in the eleventh parliament of Uganda. She is the deputy chairperson for the parliamentary Committee On Climate Change. She is a member of the National Resistance Movement.

Jenifer Abaho Muheesi is a Ugandan womens' representative member of parliament for Kazo District under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the eleventh Parliament of Uganda

Masiko Winifred Komuhangi is a Ugandan politician. She was the National Resistance Movement political party representative of Rukungiri District in the eighth and ninth Parliament of Uganda.

Grace Kaudha, also known as Grace Hailat Kaudha Magumba, was a Ugandan politician and a legislator who was the women representative for Iganga district in the 10th parliament of Uganda in 2016. She was affiliated with the National Resistance Movement. She died at Mulago National Referral Hospital in Kawempe on Saturday 1 July 2017 at 2:00 o'clock. Her death is said to have been caused by a condition called Pre-eclampsia caused by pregnancy complications. She was laid to rest in Magogo village, Nawaningi sub-county in Iganga district.
